Crypto
Profit and tax on crypto sales, staking and stablecoin yields, impermanent loss in liquidity pools, liquidation prices on leveraged and collateralised positions, mining profitability and token vesting.
Crypto has its own arithmetic: APY quoted on volatile assets, pools that lose value when prices diverge, loans that liquidate at a price. These calculators make each mechanism explicit so the risk is visible before the trade.
The crypto tax tool applies the holding-period and inclusion rules for your country; everything else is currency-neutral.

Common questions
Crypto: the questions people ask
- How is crypto taxed?
- Usually as a capital gain when sold or swapped, at the same rates as shares: US long-term rates after 12 months, UK 18%/24% above the exemption, Canada half the gain as income, Australia the 50% discount after a year. Some countries tax crypto as income or at a flat rate.
- What is impermanent loss?
- The amount a liquidity-pool position underperforms simply holding the two tokens, caused by the pool rebalancing as prices diverge. A 2× price move costs about 5.7%; the calculator shows your exact figure.
- What is a liquidation price?
- The price at which a leveraged position or collateralised loan is closed automatically because the collateral no longer covers the debt plus the required margin.
