Michael Lebow MD Launches New Essay-Based Grant to Help Undergraduate Healthcare Students Fund Their Education and Fuel Their Mission

Vero Beach, FL – In a powerful move to support students who are paving the way in modern medicine, esteemed vascular surgeon Dr. Michael Lebow MD has introduced the Dr. Michael Lebow Healthcare Made-Easy Grant—a $1,000 award designed for undergraduate students pursuing careers in healthcare.

The grant is intended to recognize students who not only excel academically but also demonstrate a strong desire to improve the healthcare system through innovation, accessibility, and compassionate care. Applicants are asked to submit a compelling short essay that reflects these ideals.

This unique scholarship program underscores Dr. Michael Lebow’s lifelong mission: to eliminate unnecessary suffering through smarter, faster, and more patient-focused care. “Medicine is constantly evolving, and our future depends on those who can balance technical expertise with a deep sense of humanity,” said Dr. Michael Lebow. “This grant is my way of encouraging students to think beyond the textbook and envision a better future for healthcare delivery.”

Eligible applicants must be current undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university, with declared or intended majors related to the healthcare field. This includes—but is not limited to—students studying pre-med, nursing, public health, allied health sciences, or healthcare administration.

To apply, students must write an original 500–700 word essay in response to the following prompt:

“As a future healthcare professional, how do you plan to make healthcare more accessible, efficient, or compassionate? Share how your personal journey or values align with Dr. Michael Lebow’s mission to improve patient care through innovation, service, and minimally invasive approaches.”

The deadline to submit all materials is April 15, 2026, and the winning applicant will be announced on May 15, 2026. Essays and required information should be submitted by email to apply@drmichaellebowgrant.com.

Dr. Michael Lebow MD brings a wealth of experience to the table. With advanced training in vascular surgery, a distinguished military background in the 82nd Airborne Division, and a long list of academic and clinical achievements, he is no stranger to leadership and service. His founding of the Limb Preservation Center in Jonesboro, GA, and years of patient advocacy have helped countless individuals regain mobility and avoid amputation.

Now, through the Michael Lebow MD Healthcare Made-Easy Grant, he is extending that same dedication to students who share his passion for elevating healthcare standards.

“Even a single opportunity can make a difference in a student’s journey,” said Dr. Michael Lebow MD. “This grant is about believing in potential and investing in those who will carry the torch of patient-centered care.”
