Ethereum Will Die In The Next 10-15 Years, Cardano Founder Makes Shocking Revelation

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano (ADA), has made a bold prediction that could impact the future of Ethereum’s price. In his opinion, Ethereum only has 10 to 15 years of runway left before total shutdown.

He believes that Ethereum’s price is volatile due to its network’s growing reliance on Layer 2 networks that often weaken its core. He adds that these Layer 2 networks remove computational resources from the main chain.

Hoskinson’s sentiments have sparked a debate on X about the future of Ethereum. However, despite Hoskinson’s harsh stance, Ethereum’s price has shown signs of a rebound, yet even the most bullish ADA holders admit that Cardano is decades away from surpassing Ethereum.

Ethereum price resists criticism with upgrades and a price uptick

Ethereum’s price is down 42% year-to-date, adding to a monthly price decline of 13.6 %. However, Ethereum holders are more bullish than ever. According to a community sentiment meter on Coinmarketcap, 80% of Ethereum holders anticipate a bullish resurgence for the giant smart contract blockchain network.

Fortunately, Ethereum’s price has rebounded over 14% in the last two weeks and continues to register an uptick alongside the market-wide recovery over the past few weeks. Noting Ethereum’s price and its bullish signals, some analysts opine that Ethereum could gain dominance over Bitcoin, as seen by its breakout from a descending wedge.

While Hoskinson’s remarks cast a dark cloud over Ethereum, leading layer 2 projects on Ethereum’s ecosystem are continually launching upgrades in a bid to cut gas fees and boost performance.

Cardano eyes bullish target as founder criticises Ethereum

Cardano’s ADA is soaring with a notable 37% uptick in trading volume, surpassing the $1 billion mark as the price shoots to around $0.72 at the time of writing. Following ADA’s bullish resurgence, Cardano’s founder has grown increasingly vocal about Ethereum and other blockchain networks such as Ripple (XRP).

Hoskinson compared Ethereum to outdated tech giant companies such as Myspace and Blackberry, whose market dominance waned after the platforms grew increasingly complex. He also revealed a series of new developments and strategic partnerships that would see Cardano collaborate with Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin.

Cardano’s ADA has continued to soar over the last few weeks, registering a 16% uptick to continue its 54% year-to-date surge.
