Nigerian Building Tech Expert, James Toyin, Inducted as Lifetime Member of Golden Key International Honour Society

James Toyin was officially inducted as a Lifetime Member of the Golden Key International Honour Society on 25th June, 2024, joining an elite network of scholars recognized globally for academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to service. The society, which honors the top 15% of high-achieving students across all academic disciplines, offers lifetime membership to individuals who embody its core values of integrity, innovation, and impact.

The Golden Key International Honour Society has chapters in over 400 universities worldwide and supports student development through leadership opportunities, scholarships, and global networking. For James Toyin, this recognition reflects a journey of academic dedication and professional distinction in the field of Building Technology and the Built Environment.

James holds a Diploma in Building Technology from Kwara State Polytechnic, Nigeria (2013) and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Building Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (2019). He earned his Master’s degree in the Built Environment from Durban University of Technology, South Africa, where his performance stood out for its scholarly depth and applied relevance.

In addition to academic success, James Toyin is known for his strong research contributions. He has presented several notable conference papers, including:

These works demonstrate his focus on the intersection of technology and construction management by advancing Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a critical competency for future graduates in Nigeria while also addressing the pressing challenges of sustainable construction practices in South Africa. Together, they underscore his commitment to preparing the construction workforce for digital transformation and promoting environmentally responsible project delivery..

James has also acquired practical experience through various industry roles. He previously served as Field Project/Construction Manager at Logkeg Engineering Limited and worked as a Construction Manager at Tony Ohiri Engineering & Company. His career began with earlier roles such as Assistant Construction Manager at Blue Fortune Limited and Smace Nigeria Limited, where he contributed to the planning, coordination, and execution of major construction projects.
