Blockchain specialist KianSoft (CEO Youngseok Shim) announced on the 11th that it co-hosted the ‘8Ball Arena Player Sponsorship Ceremony’ with Banbi, the developer of the online billiards platform BEEK.
The event marked the official launch of the 8Ball Arena Project, which aims to foster the growth of cue sports and support talented players worldwide.
During the ceremony, official sponsorship agreements were signed, sponsorship funds were awarded, and KianSoft’s CEO delivered a keynote speech to kick off the project.
Among the prominent players in attendance were:
-Kang Dong-Koong, currently ranked No. 1 in PBA men’s billiards,
-Kim Ga-Young, ranked No. 1 in LPBA and an 8-time consecutive championship winner,
-Seo Seo-Hwa, ranked No. 9 globally in pocket billiards.
The spotlight was further heightened with KianSoft’s announcement of formal sponsorship for 10 world-class athletes, including:
-Dick Jaspers, the world’s No. 1 ranked 3-cushion player from the Netherlands,
-Tran Quyet Chien, Vietnam’s national hero and world No. 3 ranked player.
These athletes will wear the ‘8Ball Arena’ patch in all future official competitions.
KianSoft plans to build a next-generation sports sponsorship ecosystem using blockchain and NFT technology.
Fans can directly support players by purchasing their NFTs, and through the P2S (Play to Support) model, NFT holders will also be rewarded when the players they support perform well in tournaments.
Each NFT will reflect a player’s real-time performance and evolve in value accordingly. Additionally, holders will receive exclusive benefits, such as limited-edition merchandise, fan meetings, metaverse experiences, and access to virtual arenas.
