EastPoint:Seoul 2025, a high-level, invitation-only gathering that brings together top leaders and organizations across Web3, announced its second wave of speakers and participating institutions, featuring senior U.S. policy advisors, global regulators, and executives from the world’s largest stablecoin issuers, Tether and Circle. The exclusive blockchain and digital finance conference will take place on September 22 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, jointly hosted by Hashed, Bloomingbit, a blockchain media outlet under Hankyung Media Group, and The Korea Economic Daily.
The first wave of speakers, unveiled last month, emphasized Korea’s political and financial leadership, including representatives from the ruling and opposition parties, the country’s top four commercial banks, and major financial institutions. This second lineup brings speakers with expertise from global markets and the larger Web3 ecosystem.
U.S. Policymakers and Regulators
Among the headline participants are Harry Jung, Deputy Director of the President’s Council of Advisors for Digital Assets, and Bo Hines, Strategic Advisor for Digital Assets and U.S. Strategy of Tether, who was formerly White House Digital Asset Policy Lead under the Trump administration. The two will join a panel on “The U.S. Embrace of Web3: From Policy Signals to Global Leadership,” providing firsthand insights into Washington’s evolving stance on digital assets and the broader regulatory landscape.
Zach Witkoff, who co-founded World Liberty Financial alongside members of President Trump’s family, will also be attending EastPoint. He is the son of Steve Witkoff, a real estate magnate and the current special envoy for peace agreements for president Donald Trump.
Also taking the stage is Caroline Pham, Acting Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Pham will deliver a keynote on “Navigating Global Crypto Regulation in Practice: Institutional Readiness in a Fragmented World,” addressing how financial institutions can adapt to rapidly shifting compliance and oversight regimes worldwide.
Stablecoin Powerhouses: Tether and Circle
Representatives from the stablecoin sector’s two dominant issuers, Tether (USDT) and Circle (USDC), will present their vision for the future of programmable finance and institutional adoption. Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin by market share, will lead a session on “Programmable Payments: Integrating Stablecoins into Everyday Transactions.” Circle, which recently completed its successful Nasdaq listing, will participate in a panel on “Institutional Investment Products: ETFs, Tokenized Assets, and Stablecoins.” The company is expected to outline its global expansion strategy and institutional positioning.
Private Roundtables: Where Real Conversations Happen
An emphasis of EastPoint is its closed-door roundtable sessions, designed to replace traditional stage speeches with candid dialogue. Policy leaders, blockchain founders, and senior executives from global banks and institutions will gather in small groups of 5–6 participants. These closed-door sessions enable open, strategic discussions on pressing issues across policy, capital, and technology.
“The roundtables are structured to create a space for authentic and strategic conversation between industry professionals, without the pressure to tailor responses for a crowd or the media,” EastPoint organizers explained. “It is a unique platform designed to catalyze global collaboration in Web3.”
The conference is backed by major players in Web3, including Sui, Solana, Aptos, Avalanche, and LayerZero. They are joined by leading fintech and digital asset firms such as Anchorage Digital, EigenCloud, Caladan, Digital Asset Holdings, Ripple, Chainlink, Kite AI, Magic Newton, BitMEX, A41, and Pudgy Penguin. Both Tether and Circle will also sponsor the event, displaying their commitment to engaging with the Korean ecosystem.
“We are standing at a historic inflection point where blockchain and digital assets are truly converging with finance, culture, and policy,” stated Simon Seojoon Kim, CEO of Hashed. “EastPoint goes beyond just a forum for dialogue, it acts as a launchpad to the new digital finance era.”
“EastPoint is not just about speeches on stage,” added Sanha Kim, CEO of Bloomingbit. “It’s about real conversations behind closed doors. This event creates a rare opportunity for policymakers, capital providers, and technology leaders to seek collective solutions to the complex challenges of digital finance. We believe this will be a defining moment to position Korea at the center of the global Web3 ecosystem.”
