On Tuesday, August 9, the 2022 IIHF World U20 Championship (also known as the World Juniors), will begin. Ten teams will compete to win the right of being crowned gold medalists. North American viewers will tune in to see Team Canada and Team USA compete in the 12-day tournament in Edmonton (Alberta).

The NHL Network will air coverage of all tournament matches in the United States. It will begin with Czechia vs. Slovakia Tuesday, August 9th at 2 p.m.
The World Juniors will serve the 46th edition 2022 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Each team is expected win the championship title simultaneously from Tuesday, August 9, 2022 to Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Canada. This tournament will see the United States Juniors defend their title.
The 2022 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships had been originally set to be held in Gothenburg Sweden. However, the IIHF (The International Ice Hockey Federation), moved the tournament from Sweden into Canada. It was announced on September 17, 2020.
