Rohini Seth on Leading Alcott Global’s India Expansion and Building Future-Ready Business Value Chain Leadership

As India steps into a new era of industrial growth and global influence, Alcott Global is deepening its commitment to the region with the appointment of Rohini Seth as Managing Director for India. Her arrival marks a significant step in the firm’s journey, not just in terms of footprint, but in reinforcing its role as a trusted partner to organizations building the next generation of business value chain leadership.

With over 25 years of leadership experience at companies like Unilever, GE, PepsiCo, Diageo, and Jubilant Group, Rohini brings both scale and substance to the role. Her career spans strategic HR leadership, business transformation, and global talent acquisition, giving her a uniquely well-rounded view of what leadership looks like in today’s complex, connected world.

Through its growing presence in India, Alcott Global is strengthening its ability to connect high-performing professionals with critical executive roles across the value chain. The firm’s platforms, like Makers & Movers, The Leaders in Supply Chain & Logistics Podcast, and Supplify, provide Indian leaders with access to global conversations, innovation networks, and leadership recognition.

As more organizations invest in resilience, innovation, and leadership, Alcott Global is well-positioned to support that growth, offering a rare blend of local understanding and global perspective.

Q. Your career spans over two decades across prestigious global companies like Unilever, GE, PepsiCo, Diageo, and Jubilant Group before your executive search journey with EMA Partners. What drew you to transition from corporate HR leadership to executive search, and how has this journey prepared you for leading Alcott Global’s India expansion?

Rohini Seth: Executive Search is the  Ikigai my life has gifted me !

It offers an exciting, wide-angle perspective on businesses and talent across geographies and sectors. With South Asia, and particularly India, gaining greater prominence in the global business environment, this role allows me to apply my HR partnership expertise to shape talent and succession strategies with a nuanced understanding of both business needs and candidate profiles.

Zooming in, it transforms every opportunity into a meaningful connection, and far from just a transaction. And then, with a little stardust called serendipity… voilà, the magic happens!

Q. Alcott Global CEO Radu Palamariu mentioned that India represents one of the most exciting growth opportunities for clients across the value chain. From your perspective, what specific factors make India such a strategic market for Business Value Chain leadership, and how do you see the country’s role evolving in the global Business Value Chain ecosystem?

Rohini Seth:

India has been a global growth engine in services for decades, particularly in Technology, Digital Transformation  and through its Global Talent. What we’re seeing now is an acceleration of that influence into manufacturing, driven by national initiatives like “Make in India” and a strong commitment to both domestic capability and global competitiveness.

Sectors like Precision Manufacturing Semiconductors, Med-Tech, and Energy Transition are rapidly scaling, supported by India’s core strengths: quality, cost efficiency, and operational scale. The country’s ability to deliver across both services and production makes it uniquely positioned to lead the next wave of Business Value Chain transformation.

At Alcott Global, we view India as a strategic market, not only due to its economic trajectory but also because of the leadership talent emerging across various industries. The next decade will be defined by the pace of innovation and execution in Asia, and India is already at the center of that momentum.

Q. You’ve witnessed Business Value Chain transformation firsthand, including co-leading Diageo’s International Business Value Chain transformation spanning teams from Singapore to Europe to Mexico. What are the unique challenges and opportunities you see for Indian companies as they build resilient and future-ready Business Value Chains, particularly in the post-pandemic era?

Rohini Seth:

Agility, adaptability, and resilience are part of how we work in India. There’s always a backup plan (may it be Plan A, B, or C), and that mindset has helped Indian businesses navigate complexity, especially in the last few years.

What’s exciting now is that Indian companies are increasingly setting the pace when it comes to building globally relevant products and brands besides delivering world-class quality services. There’s a growing belief in what we can achieve, not just locally, but on a much broader scale.

The opportunity ahead is to pair that ambition with more structure: stronger systems, clearer processes, and more intentional leadership development. That’s where we can make a real leap.

At Alcott Global, we focus on the intersection of Business and Talent. We’re working with companies to unlock talent and leaders who understand growth and know how to build for the long term. It’s an inflexion point  and there’s a lot of positive energy in the market.

Q. Alcott Global operates across various platforms, including Makers & Movers events, The Leaders in Supply Chain & Logistics Podcast, and the Supplify technology platform. How do you plan to leverage these resources to serve the Indian market, and what specific initiatives are you developing to connect Indian Business Value Chain professionals with global opportunities?

Rohini Seth:

Great question!
Allow me to elaborate on each of Alcott Global’s key platforms:

Makers & Movers is our flagship, C-level, invite-only event platform that brings together global leaders across supply chain, operations, and the broader value chain. It has proven successful in enabling high-value, closed-door conversations among decision-makers from Europe, the U.S., and Asia. Our goal is to ensure that Indian business leaders have a seat at the table in these global forums. Makers & Movers is a strategic platform that reflects India’s growing influence in global value chains, and we’re proud to invite select Indian leaders to share their voice and vision on the international stage.

Our globally acclaimed Leaders in Supply Chain & Logistics Podcast has featured over 200 top executives from around the world. For India, our goal is to spotlight CSCOs, CEOs, and change-makers. I want to elevate leadership stories from India to a global audience. These stories are rich, inspiring, and deeply relevant. The podcast, created by my colleagues, is a perfect springboard to connect Indian executives with international peer networks and board-level conversations. Featuring these voices will expand both visibility and influence globally.

The Leaders in Supply Chain Awards is another powerful platform showcasing India’s evolving role in global supply chain transformation. With its dynamic manufacturing base, rapid digital adoption, and focus on sustainability, India is shaping the next generation of resilient, innovative supply chains. I’m committed to increasing Indian nominations and representation in the Top 30 next year. Celebrating these leaders inspires the broader market to push for excellence and build future-ready operations.

The book From Source to Sold, co-authored by Radu Palamariu and Knut Alicke, offers a powerful blueprint for supply chain leadership through the lens of global executives. As it celebrates its third anniversary this October, we continue to receive messages from readers. It remains highly relevant. The book features prominent Indian leaders like Vikram Agarwal, COO of Danone, and Deepak Garg, Founder of Rivigo and AnywhereJobs. Our goal is to equip Indian professionals with the mindset, global exposure, and frameworks to thrive at the highest levels.

The Supplify platform, our curated B2B marketplace connecting corporations with supply chain tech startups, is especially relevant for India. It can help Indian startups in supply chain and sustainability gain global visibility. We’re keen to support Indian enterprises in discovering emerging tech providers, especially in automation, AI, and ESG transformation, and in building innovation pipelines across geographies. Supplify is a scalable tool designed to democratize access to opportunity, both for India’s innovators and for enterprises seeking globally competitive solutions.

Together, these platforms, Makers & Movers, the Leaders in Supply Chain & Logistics Podcast, the Leaders in Supply Chain Awards, the book From Source to Sold, and Supplify are not isolated efforts. They form a connected ecosystem that allows us to tell India’s story globally, bring global best practices to India, and build a stronger bridge for leadership, innovation, and impact.

India is playing an increasingly decisive role in shaping global value chains by driving innovation, enabling scale, and leading with talent. This shift is already underway. Our role at Alcott Global is to ensure that Indian professionals and organizations are connected to the right rooms, conversations, and opportunities, both locally and globally.

The platforms we’ve built, whether it’s Makers & Movers, Supplify, the podcast, or the Leadership awards, aren’t just content or events. They’re strategic levers for visibility, influence, and connection. That’s what makes them stand out. We’re committed to expanding these efforts in India and building meaningful partnerships that move the needle for the ecosystem.

Q. As someone who is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified, Hogan Practitioner, and a Certified ICF Coach, you clearly value continuous learning and development. What is your vision for Alcott Global India over the next five years, and how do you plan to position the firm as the go-to partner for Business Value Chain executive search and consulting in the region?

Rohini Seth:

My vision for Alcott Global India is to position it within the top 5 percentile of business-talent partners, as a trusted, credible, and delivery-obsessed firm. In a cluttered and price-sensitive market, our audacious ambition is to earn a space where our customers choose to wait for us, because they know we deliver with excellence and consistency.
