The Global Institute for Science, Engineering, and Business Management (GISEB) has officially unveiled the call for applications to its 2025 National Research Symposium, an ambitious platform designed to spotlight creativity, knowledge, and problem-solving skills among undergraduate and postgraduate researchers.
For many students across Nigeria, opportunities to present research at a nationally recognized stage remain scarce. GISEB is stepping in to close this gap, offering a world-class avenue for young scholars to gain visibility, mentorship, and career-shaping opportunities.
A Virtual Gathering of Ideas
The symposium, which will be held virtually from September 6 to 20, 2025, carries the theme “Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact through Research.” Over three weeks, participants will showcase original research projects in three rounds—Preliminary, Semi-Final, and Final—before a distinguished national jury of experts.
The event cuts across a wide array of disciplines:
- Science – Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Sciences, and Public Health.
- Engineering – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, and Computer Engineering.
- Business & Management – Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Public Policy, and Finance.
Beyond competing for cash awards, participants will gain access to mentorship, publication opportunities, and a rare chance to network with academics, policymakers, and industry professionals.
Awards and Recognition
Prizes will be conferred in categories such as Best Research in Science, Engineering, and Business, Overall Best Researcher, Best Undergraduate Researcher, Best Female Researcher, and a People’s Choice Award. In addition to these, monetary awards between two hundred and fifty thousand naira (250,000NGN) and five hundred thousand naira (500,000NGN) will be issued to awardees.
According to GISEB, this initiative is not just about awards but about creating a legacy of inclusion and diversity, with a strong emphasis on encouraging participation from women and underrepresented groups.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to submit a 300-word abstract between July 1 and August 15, 2025. Each abstract must contain the research title, author(s), institutional affiliation, background, objectives, methodology, results, conclusions, and contact details. Applications should be sent to info@gisebs.org, with acceptance notifications to be released on August 25, 2025.

Building the Future of Research
With this symposium, GISEB is affirming its mission to bridge the gap between young researchers and global opportunities. By creating a competitive yet inclusive environment, the institute is empowering Nigeria’s next generation of innovators to contribute solutions with real impact—both locally and internationally
