Dubai, UAE, 4th November 2025, During his appearance on the GITEX Global 2025 panel on digital assets and the future of financial ecosystems, David Stybr, CEO of BOXO Productions, announced the launch of the BOXO Movie Fund — a regulated investment platform licensed in Dubai and domiciled in the Cayman Islands. The Fund aims to connect Hollywood’s production excellence with the creative and financial momentum of the Middle East, marking a milestone in cross-regional collaboration between global entertainment and Gulf-based innovation.
Unlike many emerging initiatives in the film investment space, the BOXO Movie Fund enters the market with a solid foundation and proven results. With over USD 40 million in existing film assets already under BOXO’s ownership and management, the company brings a track record of successful production and financing to its latest venture. BOXO and its partners have recently produced major international titles including Locked (starring Anthony Hopkins), Land of Bad (starring Russell Crowe), and Flight Risk (starring Mark Wahlberg). The company is also currently developing multiple studio-level projects across various genres and markets.

In alignment with regional creative economy strategies, the BOXO Movie Fund will dedicate a portion of each production budget to engage local directors, writers, and technicians, providing hands-on experience alongside global professionals. This initiative is designed to nurture local expertise, encourage skill transfer, and expand the regional film industry’s capabilities beyond financing and into production and post-production excellence.
To further strengthen the region’s creative infrastructure, BOXO plans to establish a regional post-production and AI visual effects studio. This facility will serve as a hub for innovation, merging advanced cinematic technologies with local storytelling perspectives. The studio will also act as a long-term anchor for creative and technological capacity in the Gulf, fostering sustainable growth within the industry.
