After graduation, Setu began his professional career at the world’s largest ERP company, contributing to the development of advanced features for resource scheduling software—critical tools that help businesses optimize workforce planning and improve operational efficiency. Collaborating closely with experienced engineers and product managers, Setu gained valuable insights into the complexities of large-scale enterprise systems. His role involved working cross-functionally to understand customer needs and translate them into scalable, high-performance solutions. This experience laid a solid foundation for his continued growth and reinforced his commitment to building software that delivers tangible business value.

Soon thereafter, Setu played a key role in an innovative optimizer project designed to enhance field service operations for enterprise clients. The project aimed to intelligently assign the most suitable technician to each job, ensuring timely arrivals while minimizing travel time and operational costs.

Working alongside Industry Experts, Product Managers, and Engineers, Setu helped design and implement algorithms that took into account technician skills, availability, job priority, and geographic location. By integrating real-time data and predictive analytics, the optimizer enabled businesses to make smarter scheduling decisions, reduce delays, and improve customer satisfaction. This initiative deepened Setu’s expertise in algorithm design and optimization techniques and provided valuable experience delivering scalable, high-impact solutions within complex enterprise environments. His contributions were instrumental in streamlining service workflows and improving operational efficiency for customers.

In this role, he experienced firsthand the challenges and delays associated with moving software corrections from testing environments into live production—a common bottleneck during critical incidents.

To address this, Setu co-developed an innovative tool that empowered business users to simulate program changes and test system behavior without modifying the underlying codebase. This breakthrough dramatically reduced turnaround times, minimized risk, and allowed users to validate changes in real time. The tool’s originality and impact were recognized with a patent, highlighting its significant value in enterprise software operations.

As a Mission Critical Engineer, Setu worked with clients across industries such as beverage manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and electronics, tackling urgent challenges where system reliability was paramount.
