With this in mind, Sher Muhammad glimpsed his professional endeavors towards the Oil and Gas sector when still at High School in Pakistan. With over sixteen years of experience in the field, he has proven himself to be one of the most adept and reliable Senior FieldOperators in the companies he has worked for. His extensive expertise encompasses controlling complex processes, ensuring safety standards are met, and swiftly responding to emergencies. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Sher Muhammad consistently demonstrates his ability to optimize operations and communicate effectively with all his team workers.
The Oil and Gas Industry encompasses a broad range of professionals and experts. Sher Muhammad positioned himself in one of the cornerstones roles on the sector: Senior Field Operator. Those workers are indispensable in the Oil and Gas industry while tasked with ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity.
With a leadership position as a Senior Field Operator in Offsite and Logistic at OQ8/SOMS – DUQM Refinery and Petrochemical in Oman, Sher Muhammad took part in the implementation of Euro-5 diesel technology, a billion dollars project funded by Oman Government, with the goal of reducing carbon emissions at the region. Through his involvement, OQ8/SOMS achieved that goal by adopting an innovative and environmentally friendly gasification method and utilizing Euro-5 diesel in conjunction with refinery vacuum residue to generate power without adverse effects on the climate. In addition, he played a crucial role within the team responsible for implementing the Gas Recovery System, aimed at mitigating flared gases released into the atmosphere. This innovative system not only curtails environmental harm but also repurposes these gases as a valuable resource within the company’s operations.
Refining his technique while maintaining a keen eye on the evolving landscape of the field, most recently, Sher Muhammad has been a pivotal figure at Jazan Integrated Gasification and Power Company (JIGPC), where he directly works in the world’s largest integrated gasification combined cycle complex, pioneering gasification technology in the region. Keeping his leadership abilities, this initiative marks the first of its kind in the Gulf countries, aiming to inspire a global transition towards eco-friendly alternatives to traditional gasification methods. All of this in collaboration with Air Products, a renowned American organization known for promoting zero-carbon initiatives and increase green hydrogen adoption across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
His professional expertise is backed with a Bachelor of Science from the well-known Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences and Technology in Pakistan, and a Master of Business Administration from the Indus Institute of Higher Education in Pakistan. Sher Muhammad bolstered his career with plenty international experience while working in Saudi Arabia for Petro Rabigh and JIGPC, Oman for OQ8/SOMS – DUQM Refinery and Petrochemical, and in Pakistan working for multiple companies as Toyota and ENAR.
