Niv Keren: The Designer Leading a New Wave of Israeli Fashion

In the shifting landscape of Israeli fashion, Niv Keren is known as one of its clearest and most important voices. His designs precise, architectural, and emotionally intelligent  offer a new vision of what Israeli fashion can be: global in quality, intimate in feeling, and rooted in thoughtful storytelling.

Keren’s rise has been organic yet undeniable. In a country long associated with bold prints and Mediterranean ease, his sharp tailoring and restrained color palette marked a turning point. National Awards soon followed: the prestigious Mifal HaPais Prize recognized his ability to shape a more mature, internationally relevant Israeli fashion scene.

But accolades are only part of the story. Tel Aviv Fashion Week, Israel’s main stage for designers, has consistently featured Keren’s collections, each one refining his clear vision. Selected personally by leading fashion producer Moti Reif, Keren’s shows have become a benchmark for contemporary Israeli design — celebrated not for spectacle, but for their subtle power.

You can see Keren’s influence far beyond the runway. Major Israeli brands and institutions have turned to him when they wanted to project a new, forward-facing image: Rimowa (LVMH) commissioned him for their “New Horizons” campaign; Miller Jewelry dressed their ambassador Mali Levi in his minimalist evening gowns; Naot invited him to collaborate on their sustainability-focused fashion week collection. His work even appeared in the branding of Aiways, a global electric car company entering the Israeli market, with a now-iconic orange overcoat against the desert backdrop.

Celebrities have followed suit. Yael Reich, one of Israel’s top models, has repeatedly chosen Keren’s designs for shoots and appearances. Amit Rahav, the internationally acclaimed actor from Unorthodox, was styled in Keren’s sharply tailored pieces for Numero Berlin. Public figures like Dana Ivgy, Sivan Talmor, and even Israel’s First Lady have worn his work, each one connecting to the quiet strength his clothes convey.

At the heart of Keren’s appeal is his understanding that minimalism isn’t emptiness — it’s intentionality. Every line, every fabric choice, every silhouette is considered, and the result feels timeless rather than trendy. His pieces are not about grabbing attention; they are about creating presence.

In a scene that once thrived on flash, Keren has introduced something else: depth, intelligence, permanence. His influence is now visible not just in the boutiques and fashion pages of Tel Aviv, but in the way a new generation of Israeli designers approach their craft — with more thought, more precision, and a broader sense of possibility.

Niv Keren plays a substantial role in shaping the new era of Israeli fashion.
