Tigran Bayburtsyan’s Leadership at Blockpulsar Brings Practical Solutions to Industry Challenges

Tigran Bayburtsyan began his technical journey. He worked as a backend engineer while experimenting with various product ideas. In 2014, he created TestedBrain, an online skill-testing platform for banks that attracted four enterprise customers. This early success unveiled his approach to building functional products quickly rather than pursuing perfection.

Following this achievement, Tigran Bayburtsyan founded TreeScale in 2015, initially as a cloud computing optimization tool that evolved into an AI/ML infrastructure company. The platform enables businesses to create and deploy private AI models without specialized teams or expensive hardware—this addresses a critical barrier to AI adoption. The World Bank and European Union recognized this innovation in 2016-2017, awarding TreeScale a $40,000 STEP grant after a rigorous selection involving pitching competitions judged by top Armenian executives.

Tech Wizardry Across Industries

At PicsArt in 2015, Tigran Bayburtsyan tackled costly image processing infrastructure, implementing his open-source solution that reduced cloud computing expenses by nearly 70 percent. His code continues to power PicsArt mobile apps used by millions worldwide. When building Hexometer in 2018, he developed a highly optimized distributed networking tool that enabled crawling over 100,000 websites monthly while maintaining cloud costs under $1,400.

In 2017, Bayburtsyan launched Gazar.am, Armenia’s first fruit and vegetable delivery service, which transformed consumer behavior by encouraging online ordering of fresh produce. The platform achieved profitability within months through an innovative business model before being sold in 2019. At Blockpulsar in 2022, he created what he describes as “the most performant Blockchain analytics platform on the market,” solving complex data processing challenges through low-level coding and redesigning time-series database functionality.

Building Software Like LEGO

Tigran Bayburtsyan developed a distinctive approach to building software products through microservice architecture, prioritizing proper design from the beginning. This methodology breaks down software into small, independent components that can be modified without disrupting the entire system. It allows rapid deployment of new features while maintaining stability, even with small development teams.

His technical presentations at RustFest Paris 2018 and JavaScript Summit Yerevan 2024 showcased these systems to international audiences. As a mentor in Founder Institute’s 2023 Silicon Valley cohort, Bayburtsyan helps non-technical founders understand how to build startup products efficiently. He also served as a judge at Awards International’s Business Excellence event in 2023.

AI That Talks Back: The Future Is Now

As CTO at Blockpulsar, Tigran Bayburtsyan now focuses on creating voice interactions that feel natural to humans. His breakthrough in achieving consistent sub-300ms response times—the threshold where human brains perceive interaction as a natural conversation—enables the company’s partnership with BluIP.com to deploy AI receptionists in hotels and medical centers. This technology promises to transform customer support experiences while generating additional revenue for businesses.

Tigran Bayburtsyan manages technical product development and leads a team of six software engineers, combining project management, architectural design, and code review to create practical AI solutions. He now looks forward to revolutionizing hospitality and healthcare customer service through AI systems that respond with human-like immediacy—proving once again that solving fundamental technical challenges creates the foundation for industry change.
