The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will soon release admission cut-offs for participating institutes. The cut-off for the BDes, BFTech, MDes, M.FTech, and MFM courses would be released separately and would indicate the minimum rank or score required for admission.
The NIFT cut off would be determined by factors such as seat intake, the number of applicants, the candidate’s NIFT 2022 merit rank, and the popularity (or rank) of the participating institute.
The NIFT 2023 has 17 participating institutes with a total of 5,023 seats.
What exactly is the NIFT Cut off?
The NIFT cut off is the minimum number of marks that a candidate must obtain in order to be admitted to the course and college of his or her choice. The NIFT cut off is released by category for each course offered at various NIFT campuses.
Factors Determining NIFT Cut off 2022
The following factors would influence the cut-offs for a participating institute:
- The number of candidates who are taking part in the counselling process.
- The applicant merit rank for NIFT 2022
- The program’s seat intake opted for admission.
- The classification under which admission is sought
- The popularity or ranking of the participating institute (a higher ranked institute would get more applications and higher-ranked candidates, which would push the cut-off).
