Solana Price Prediction: Alpenglow Targets 150ms Finality as Remittix Captures Payments-Sector Attention

The Solana price prediction is approaching a major technology catalyst as Alpenglow prepares to replace TowerBFT on October 21. The upgrade targets finality near 150 milliseconds, down from roughly 12.8 seconds, potentially strengthening Solana’s position in payments, decentralized trading and tokenized markets. SOL trades near $107 as buyers attempt to defend $100 support before the mainnet transition.

While Solana rewrites its consensus engine, Remittix is tackling what happens after a user owns crypto: turning digital value into practical bank-bound payments. One project is accelerating the blockchain rail; the other is building the consumer destination above multiple rails. The market may soon reveal which layer captures the more explosive share of new demand.

Solana Price Prediction Targets $120 and $150

SOL trades near $107 ahead of the October 21 Alpenglow launch. Immediate support sits around $105, with $100 forming the level bulls must defend to prevent a deeper pullback.

SOL has declined roughly 9% over the past week and remains well below its previous high, so the upgrade arrives at a moment when the chart needs a credible catalyst. A successful rollout could shift attention from recent selling back toward network performance.

Resistance spans $110 to $116. Reclaiming that band would improve the Solana price prediction and expose $120, followed by the larger $150 target. A successful Alpenglow deployment could become the catalyst needed to restore confidence.

Solana ETF flows have weakened recently, with seven consecutive outflow sessions reducing cumulative inflows to roughly $60.8 million. That makes network execution especially important because technical progress must now offset cautious institutional positioning.

Alpenglow can make Solana more competitive for high-frequency trading, retail payments and consumer applications. Yet SOL already carries a market value above $60 billion, so each additional multiple requires enormous fresh capital.

Remittix Targets Payments Across Multiple Networks

Remittix PayFi is targeting the consumer layer above fast blockchains. The World Bank estimated $685 billion in annual remittances to low- and middle-income countries in 2024, with average transfer costs still above 6%. Even the fastest chain does not solve that problem unless users can move value simply into bank accounts and local currencies.

One thousand invited holders are testing stablecoin-funded EUR and USD routes across Ethereum, Base, Celo and Polygon. Their trading platform, Remittix Markets, has processed more than $50 million, while the iOS wallet has surpassed 10,000 downloads and Earn is preparing yields up to 22% APY.

Remittix can add chains and currencies as distribution channels while keeping the customer inside one wallet. Capturing only a sliver of global remittance flow could bring billions in transaction value through PayFi, with Markets and Earn increasing the revenue potential of every acquired user.

The opportunity also extends beyond consumer remittances. Exporters, remote workers and digital merchants all face settlement delays, conversion costs and multiple intermediaries. Giving those users a direct crypto-to-bank workflow can create high-value repeat customers while establishing Remittix as the application layer that converts blockchain speed into usable money.

The Application Layer Could Deliver the Bigger Return

Remittix has raised more than $32 million from over 40,000 participants toward its $36 million hard cap. RTX remains $0.28 before the planned $0.46 final tier and November 24 debut.

SOL reaching $150 would gain roughly 40% from $107. Bullish RTX forecasts between $3 and $5 imply more than 10x to nearly 18x from today’s stage.

Solana may become dramatically faster, but speed only becomes valuable when applications turn it into activity. Remittix is building the payment, trading and earning experience users can return to every day. If that consumer layer captures attention after November 24, the percentage breakout could make even a successful SOL rally look conservative.
