Samsung said that its 2024 Neo QLED 8K is the full package; it has improved 8K upscaling powered by AI for lifelike picture quality. This year, Samsung introduced its latest and most innovative processor yet, the NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor. Housed within the 2024 Neo QLED 8K QN900D, it optimizes both picture and sound to deliver the ultimate 8K experience with a neural processing unit twice as fast as that of its predecessor. The number of neural networks has also increased eightfold, so that no matter what consumers watch, they can experience levels of detail and clarity near native 8K content.

On May 21, 2024, Samsung Electronics in Korea announced that it had named Young Hyun Jun as the new Head of Device Solutions (DS) Division to lead the company’s semiconductor business and strengthen its competitiveness amid an uncertain global business environment.
Samsung said that Vice Chairman Jun joined Samsung Electronics in 2000 and worked in DRAM and Flash memory development as well as in strategic marketing. Jun became Head of the Memory Business in 2014 and CEO of Samsung SDI in 2017, before leading the Future Business Division in 2024.
