Lisa: Sachin, thank you for joining us today. To start, could you share a bit about your current role as a Senior Solution Architect and the key responsibilities it entails?
Sachin Chaudhari: Thank you for having me. As a Senior Solution Architect, my primary role involves managing and scaling SAP programs to ensure they meet organizational needs effectively. This includes overseeing system design, blueprinting, requirement gathering, scope definition, and documenting business blueprints and fit-gap processes. I work closely with leadership to align SAP solutions with broader business objectives and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope. Leading cross-functional teams is also a crucial part of my role, and I focus on delivering high-quality outcomes by leveraging both technical and strategic expertise.
Lisa : Your career has been marked by several significant achievements. Can you tell us more about your early adoption and implementation of SAP S/4HANA in 2018?
Sachin Chaudhari: Absolutely. SAP S/4HANA was a groundbreaking technology, and I was fortunate to be involved in its early adoption. In 2018, shortly after its release, I developed systems for three different companies, which was a pivotal moment in my career. This early involvement allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the technology and its potential benefits. It was both challenging and rewarding to implement a new system that would drive efficiency and innovation for these organizations.
Lisa: Your work in integrating Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with SAP is highly regarded. What were some of the challenges you faced, and how did you overcome them?
Sachin Chaudhari: Integrating MES with SAP presents several challenges, primarily related to ensuring seamless communication between systems and maintaining data integrity. One of the key challenges was aligning the MES data with SAP’s processes and workflows. To overcome this, we adopted a collaborative approach, working closely with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that the integration addressed their needs effectively.We also focused on thorough testing and validation to ensure that the integration was robust and reliable.
Lisa : In your role as a manufacturing lead in the healthcare sector, you optimized the drug production process for treating complex perianal fistulas. Can you elaborate on this project and its impact?
Sachin Chaudhari: This project was particularly significant because it involved optimizing a critical production process in the healthcare sector. We aimed to enhance the efficiency of drug production for treating perianal fistulas in adults with Crohn’s disease. By streamlining the production process and implementing best practices, we achieved cost savings of approximately $1 million for our client. The project not only demonstrated the value of SAP technology in healthcare but also highlighted the potential for process optimization to drive substantial cost benefits and improve patient outcomes.
Lisa : You’ve been recognized with several awards and have served as a judge at prestigious industry events. How do you view these recognitions, and what do they mean to you?
Sachin Chaudhari: Recognition is always gratifying, but I view it as a reflection of the collective efforts of my team and the support of my mentors and colleagues. Serving as a judge at events like “The Globee Information Technology World Awards”; and “The Golden Bridge Awards”has been a humbling experience, allowing me to contribute to the industry’s growth and innovation. These accolades inspire me to continue pushing boundaries and striving for excellence in my work.
Lisa : Looking ahead, what are your goals and aspirations for the future of SAP technology?
Sachin Chaudhari: My primary goal is to continue advancing the field of SAP technology by promoting awareness, sharing best practices, and supporting upskilling initiatives. I’m particularly interested in exploring new technological trends and innovations that can further enhance SAP’s capabilities. Additionally, I aim to mentor and guide the next generation of SAP professionals, helping them navigate the complexities of the technology and achieve their own career milestones.
Lisa: Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring professionals who wish to follow in your footsteps?
Sachin Chaudhari:My advice would be to stay curious and continuously seek knowledge. The field of SAP technology is constantly evolving, so it’s important to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements. Building a strong foundation through hands-on experience and obtaining relevant certifications can also be beneficial. Additionally, don’t hesitate to take on challenges and seek mentorship.
