Indigo Design Award Winner: Lezhang Wang recognized for Jingo, the AI personal shopper reimagining online commerce

Indigo Design Award Winner: Lezhang Wang

A multi-award win at the Indigo Design Award

Designer Lezhang Wang has been named among the winners of the 2026 Indigo Design Award, an international design competition based in Europe, for his work as Lead Designer on “Jingo: Your Personal Shopper.” The campaign earned three distinctions in a single year: Gold in Digital Design for Graphic Design, Silver in Branding for Technology, and Silver in Digital Ads and Campaigns for Digital Design.

Jingo is an AI-powered “personal commerce” platform that learns a user’s taste, finds exactly what they’re looking for, helps them decide, and completes the purchase as naturally as talking to a friend. Rather than treating online shopping as a series of disconnected steps across fragmented platforms, Jingo unifies discovery, personalization, and checkout into one continuous, conversational experience.

Founded by Ujjal Pathak, who spent 11 years at Walmart leading marketplace, discovery, and site redesign initiatives, Jingo raised a $1.7 million pre-seed round and is backed by a roster of commerce and technology veterans, including former executives of Walmart, Pinterest, eBay, and Google. The platform has onboarded more than 11,000 brands and 22 million SKUs across 17 categories, and entered public beta earlier this year following a university pilot program.

Each year, the Indigo Design Award draws submissions from designers and agencies around the world, with entries evaluated by an international jury of design professionals across branding, digital, and graphic design disciplines. Earning three awards across distinct categories for a single campaign reflects the breadth, consistency, and ambition of the work.

Designing a brand for the age of AI commerce

As Lead Designer on the project, Wang drove the campaign’s creative direction from concept to execution, spanning graphic design, branding, and digital advertising. Through a collection of video and photo-based ads, the work shows how Jingo adapts to each user’s taste, preferences, and intent in real time, positioning AI not as a feature but as an invisible assistant that quietly shapes a shopping experience that feels intuitive, curated, and uniquely personal.

Wang’s design translated that product philosophy into a warm, editorial visual language that stands apart from the transactional look of conventional e-commerce. Across the campaign and the platform’s brand system, his work emphasizes clarity and emotional resonance, presenting personalization not as an algorithm but as a genuine relationship between the shopper and the platform.

A rising designer with international recognition

The Indigo wins add to a rapidly growing list of honors for Wang, whose work has also been recognized by the London Design Awards and the International Design Awards (IDA), among others. His portfolio spans brand identity, graphic design, and UI/UX, with a sharp focus on AI-driven products, AI-assisted visuals, and the design systems that power them.

Wang currently brings his expertise to Hypha AI, a fintech startup that recently raised a $50 million seed round, where he leads the company’s brand identity, visual design, and product design system. There, he continues his focus on how thoughtful design can make emerging AI technologies feel approachable and human.

Design as the bridge between AI and everyday life

Throughout his career, Wang has approached design as the connective layer between complex technology and everyday experience. As AI reshapes how people shop, work, and communicate, his work demonstrates how visual design and branding determine whether these tools feel trustworthy and intuitive or overwhelming. With commerce and AI converging into what industry observers call “personal commerce,” designers like Wang are helping define how the next generation of digital experiences looks and feels.
