Doginal Dogs Legends: Rise of the Pack, the debut set of the DDL trading card game, puts 111 original hand-drawn cards into the hands of collectors and players. Every card features artwork inspired by the Doginal Dogs collection of 10,000 pixel dogs inscribed on the Dogecoin blockchain.
Rise of the Pack is a physical tabletop game with printed rules, a structured rarity system, professional grading and an in-person championship in Miami on Dec. 8.
What Is Inside the Rise of the Pack Set?
The set breaks down into 71 creatures, 31 spells and 9 traps, according to ddltcg.com. Five classes give the game its identity: Crown, Bow, Wizard, Zombie and Pirate, with 14 cards each. Another 38 Neutral cards fit into any deck, and three multi-class cards round out the list.
The gallery lists three rarity tiers: 92 Common/Rare, 14 Ultra Rare and five Giga Rare cards. The Giga Rares are Hunter, Renza, Turbo, Bark and Gigatron, the last a 10-mana creature that destroys every other card in play.
Each First Edition booster box holds 24 packs of 10 cards with premium finishes and rare foils. The official Doginal Dogs shop lists it as sold out.
How Do You Play Doginal Dogs Legends?
Two players each build a deck of exactly 40 cards, with no more than three copies of any card. Heroes start at 40 health, and the first to reduce the opposing Hero to zero wins.
Mana rises by one each turn to a maximum of 10. The signature rule is what players call the kill-gate: a creature may attack another creature only if the fight destroys something, so every exchange on the board is decisive.
How Are Collectors Responding?
Boxes reached collectors in early October. @DDLTCG announced on Oct. 6 that every pre-order had shipped, and by Oct. 12 it reported boxes “arriving to doorsteps all over the world.” Pack openings have filled the feed since, from Giga Rare full-art pulls to completed holo sets and the first DDL shadowbox display.
Professional grading arrived almost at once. On Oct. 7, @DDLTCG announced the game was “officially fully live with AGS grading.” AGS runs on-site, same-day AI grading at Collectors Club, the collectibles store and lounge in Miami’s Wynwood district, and AGS founder Alex Aleksandrovski posted on Oct. 15 that his team was grading some of the set’s biggest cards.
The first AGS GEM-MT 10 DDL cards went to a charity auction on eBay run with Collectors Club for the Do Only Good Everyday Foundation. A graded Wiggles, an Ultra Rare full art, had passed $1,000 as of Oct. 18, Collectors Club reported.
Local play is growing too. Holders in Charlotte, North Carolina, held a Rise of the Pack tournament at Get Some Games on Oct. 24, with best-of-three semifinals that ran late into the night, according to community recaps on X.
What Happens at the DDL Miami Championship?
The first official DDL Championship runs Dec. 8 at Collectors Club, the same Wynwood venue that hosts Rip & Sip that day, as part of the DD Miami event from Dec. 7 to 9. An online round-robin the week before sends the top 16 to the in-person final.
The prizes come straight from the set. First place takes an Ultra Rare Gary promo card, a rare Doginal Dog and 10 booster boxes. Second place earns a Gary promo card and five boxes, and third place earns five boxes, per @DDLTCG.
Registration runs through the official sign-up form linked in the @DDLTCG championship thread.
