Fortrade CEO on Web and Mobile Access in CFD Trading
Fortrade, an international CFD trading provider, has shared its view on how web and mobile access shapes the way people trade. Its proprietary Fortrader platform runs in a browser and as apps for iOS and Android, with access to over 500 instruments across forex, indices, commodities, shares and metals.
Chris Warburton, CEO of Fortrade, describes a trader’s day as a string of short check-ins spread across devices.
“Traders do not sit at one screen all day,” Chris Warburton, CEO of Fortrade said. “A position gets checked on a phone in a spare ten minutes, levels get reviewed on a laptop in the evening, and the platform has to make sense in both places.”
Fortrade Web and Mobile Platform Access
A quick look at an open trade is a different job from an evening review, and Fortrade’s website covers both. The platform brings orders, positions and performance into one view, with built-in tools for setting exit points and access to technical analysis for planning trades. For the longer look, the site carries an economic calendar and weekly market analysis, and the Trading Academy adds webinars, courses and video tutorials.
The web and mobile versions of Fortrader are described on the trading platforms page. The web version runs in a browser with nothing to install, and MetaTrader 4 is available for traders who prefer it.
Fortrade on Trading Habits
“Convenience raises the stakes on having a plan,” Warburton said. “When a trade is two taps away, the time to decide where your exit point sits is before you place it. The tools for setting it are built into the platform.”
In Warburton’s view, a plan comes down to two practical questions: how much to risk on a position, and where to exit if it moves the wrong way. Neither depends on the device in use, but a phone makes it easier to skip them.
The same thinking applies to learning. A trader who has watched a webinar, read the glossary or worked through a beginner course arrives at a first trade with more context, and Fortrade keeps those resources on the same website as the platform. A demo account with virtual funds is also available for getting used to the platform before depositing.
It is a theme Fortrade has covered before: its view on how individual traders are adopting more research-driven approaches was featured on Insider Monkey.
Fortrade’s published risk warning states that 74% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage, and traders should ensure they understand those risks before opening a position.
