Fame To Fans Turns Character Fame Into a Direct Line to the People Who Love the Work

A U.S. marketing agency is using X Communities to connect unique creators with fans who know their work but not always the people behind it.

Across entertainment, the work is often better known than the person who made it. Millions of people love famous characters, classic video games, and long running shows, yet few can name the voice actors, artists, designers, and performers who brought them to life. Fame To Fans, a marketing agency focused on creator campaigns, has built its business around closing that gap.

The agency’s approach starts from one idea: the audience already exists. Fans have spent years gathering around characters, games, shows, and artwork, often without ever meeting the people who created or contributed to them. Fame To Fans builds on that recognition. It hosts each campaign inside an X Community, a dedicated space where fans can gather around the creator directly.

A Clearly Defined Focus

Fame To Fans works with a wide range of creators, from established industry veterans to lesser known talent whose contributions have had a lasting impact. They look for creators whose work is more famous than they are: the voice actor behind a beloved character, the artist whose work has reached more people than their name has, the game creator whose title is remembered after the credits are forgotten, and the person audiences recognize without knowing where they’ve seen them.

That focus sets the agency apart from conventional social media campaigns, marketing firms, and brand partnerships. Fame To Fans doesn’t run generic promotions or attach creators to products, and it doesn’t claim to create fandom from nothing. It organizes existing fandom and puts the creator at the center of it. The agency is betting that a well run community built around the right person will deliver stronger results for that creator than a traditional social campaign.

How the Process Works

Each Fame To Fans campaign is run by a three person team. Tyler Bennett, who leads creator relations, is the creator’s main point of contact and manages the partnership from start to finish. Community manager James Santiago builds and runs the X Community where fans gather around the creator. Skylar Rennolds, who leads marketing, handles how each campaign is presented to the public and helps it reach the right audience.

The agency puts significant resources into each campaign, including marketing, audience development, and day to day management of the community. That leaves the creator with a simple role. They show up, engage with their fans, and post on X, and the agency handles the rest. Creators can see the results in their social growth, their account impressions, and how actively fans engage with them. Creators who want to accept contributions from their fans can do so, and Fame To Fans manages that process for them as well.

Bringing Recognition to the Names Behind Famous Work

The agency’s recent campaigns show its model at work, each one centered on a creator whose work is known far more widely than their name.

One of the agency’s campaigns featured Chuck Huber, the voice of Android 17 in Dragon Ball. Nearly every Dragon Ball fan knows the character, but many had never connected a name or a face to the performance. The community Fame To Fans built gave those fans a place to meet the actor behind the voice and turned their interest into support Huber could benefit from.

Fame To Fans also worked with Vic Mignogna, the creator of Star Trek Continues. The series drew a devoted following among Star Trek fans, yet many viewers never knew who was responsible for bringing it to life. The campaign put Mignogna in front of the community that already valued his work.

Another campaign featured Joey D’Auria, who portrayed Bozo the Clown on WGN’s The Bozo Show from 1984 to 2001. For an entire generation, Bozo was a fixture of childhood, and at the height of the show’s run he was the most famous clown in the world. Millions of people grew up watching him, but few could name the man behind the makeup. Fame To Fans brought D’Auria to that audience, and the performer himself became the center of the community.

Each campaign followed the same approach and got strong results. Fame To Fans brought a dedicated audience to every creator, significantly raised their public profile, and helped each one raise a significant amount in fan contributions.

Quote

“People already love the work. What they often don’t have is a way to stand next to the person who made it. We build that room, then we help the creator obtain the contributions from the people who showed up.”
