Check-Ins
The Everywhere Hub offers the new ‘check-in’ feature. Check-ins allow administrators to define and assign schedules, as well as welfare checks, in the EVERYWHERE hub. This is done while being able to leverage multi-channel notifications with time-stamped location information. Examples of these multi-channel notifications are SMS, email, app notifications, and voice call.
These check-ins are able to be automated as well. Administrators are able to schedule automated check-ins for teams or individual team members with a user-defined geofence. A geofence is a virtual boundary established around a geographical location. This location-based service, utilised by apps or software, uses GPS, RFID, Wi-Fi or even cellular data in order to trigger a pre-programmed action, such as the check-in, when a mobile device or RFID tag triggers the virtual boundary. The team member/members are able to respond with “I’m OK” or “I need help” and their status as well as coordinates will be sent over the Iridium satellite network, cellular or Wi-Fi. This offers administrators information on which team members have checked in and which have not, as well as where they are.
Administrators are able to automate check-ins with their remote team members by using one of the two, new check-ins, namely geotargeted check-ins and team check-ins. Geotargeted check-ins are location defined check-ins suited for job sites or areas of interest. Team check-ins serve to manage check-in schedules for chosen teams and/or individuals. The Everywhere Hub has simplified the check-in procedure for administrators by giving them a detailed report of who they are responsible for and real-time status updates.
