Everthine is using IFA 2026 in Berlin to introduce A1 to European audiences and set out its direction as an independent AI software and hardware brand. The desktop 3D AI companion is on display ahead of a planned release later this year.
A focused brand takes shape
A1 continues the hardware project shown as Lepro Ami at CES 2026. Everthine now owns the companion product, team and roadmap, while Lepro concentrates on smart lighting. The separation gives Everthine a dedicated product cadence for conversational characters, memory systems and purpose-built devices.
The relationship layer
A1 renders a character on an 8.01-inch curved OLED display. Real-time facial expressions, gestures, voice and touch reactions give the character an active presence on a desk. The long-term memory system retains information across sessions, including people, previous conversations and images of familiar faces or pets. Personality traits can develop as the interaction history grows.
Everthine is also developing a mobile app with text, voice and video modes. Account binding can carry the same character across devices, creating continuity between mobile software and the A1 hardware. The software and hardware will launch on separate tracks within 2026, with software planned first.
Dedicated hardware and visible controls
The device includes front and rear cameras, a six-microphone array with source localization, a 10W speaker, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. A physical shutter covers the camera, while a hardware switch cuts the microphone. Everthine says conversations are end-to-end encrypted, will never be used to train AI models and can be permanently deleted by the account holder.
The planned app model includes a free tier and two optional premium plans. Everthine expects to enter the US market first, followed by Europe and Japan, with English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Japanese among the planned launch languages. Final regional timing remains subject to confirmation.
The A1’s approach is less about adding another voice assistant and more about giving AI a persistent, visible presence. Its combination of a 3D character, long-term memory and cross-device interaction sets it apart from conventional AI interfaces, but it also raises a more practical question: whether users will find value in maintaining an ongoing relationship with a digital character. With pricing and regional availability still to be finalized, the A1’s reception will likely depend on how well that concept translates from a novel desktop experience into something people actually want to use every day.
