Chirp, the global wireless network built on blockchain technology for IoT and broadband internet, has expanded its senior leadership by hiring Robert Aksenov, a former executive with Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile), to lead its product development team.

Aksenov brings a formidable track record to the company’s all-star team of telecommunications experts and development veterans.

“Robert brings a wealth of experience to Chirp and has proven himself time-and-time again in the ever-complex and changing arena of telecommunications,” says Chirp founder and CEO Timothy Kravchunovsky. “We couldn’t ask for a more accomplished and disciplined leader to come onboard.”

Before joining Chirp, Aksenov served at Deutsche Telekom for over seven years in varying capacities, including leading teams of seasoned engineers to build modern enterprise-grade applications and platforms, and bringing innovative B2B telecommunications software solutions to market under demanding conditions..

“Chirp is on the frontlines of a historically significant shift in telecommunications, broadband, and IoT,” says Robert. “The company’s vision of a decentralized wireless system via blockchain will become the gold standard across these different touchstones. Tim has assembled an incredible team of some of the brightest engineers and developers, and it is an honor for me to come onboard.”

Chirp Value Proposition

Chirp is a global endeavor and a game changer for the IoT and ISP industries. By providing a cost-effective and scalable global solution for long range communication and localisation, Chirp aims to be the name in decentralized wireless. Chirp’s Cardinal Broadband solution provides wireless internet to businesses and residences at half the cost of a traditional ISP with no downgrade in transmission quality. These technologies, underpinned by a robust cryptocurrency reward system, makes any Chirp device owner a Wireless Network Provider and beneficiary of the monetary profit from hosting.

Chirp is currently composed of engineers, researchers, scientists, Google Scholars, and five PhDs in telecommunications, coming from top IT institutions like the World Bank, Oracle, Huawei, VK, VEON, and now T-Mobile. Chirp is attracting the best talent in the technology industry in order to fulfill their mission as creators of a democratized and sustainable infrastructure for the Internet of Everything. With the addition of Aksenov as Product Development lead, Chirp expects to truly decentralize connectivity by building the most effective integration of LoRa, BLE, Zigbee and wireless broadband internet to date.
