BTC OCT (33)

Bitcoin slipped to about $76,500 on November 3 as US midterm voting began, on the same morning Tether said it owns far more of the coin than anyone had counted.

The price fell 2.2% in a day, yet CEO Paolo Ardoino told a forum in Lugano that Tether holds about 150,000 BTC. So this week’s bitcoin news raises one question: is a holder that large a sign the selling is nearly done?

Tether’s disclosure has traders asking where large money buys before the crowd. Part of the answer is Pepeto, a meme coin with AI trading tools that has raised more than $11.2 million in its presale.

Bitcoin News: Tether Holds 150,000 BTC as Price Tests $76,000

Tether holds about 150,000 BTC, worth roughly $11.5 billion at a bitcoin price near $76,500. That is about 50,000 coins above its October 30 reserve report, which counts only the coins backing USDT. Bitcoin rests just above support at $76,000, 0.7% below the price, with resistance at $78,500, 2.6% above.

Since May 2023, Tether has put up to 15% of its quarterly profit into bitcoin. The coin also sits about 5% above its 200 day average of $73,169, which CoinDesk notes breaks a pattern from three past midterms.

However, bitcoin is worth about $1.54 trillion, so a 10% rise takes roughly $154 billion of new buying, and a $1,000 buyer and a $1 million fund get the same 10%.

What this means is that the bitcoin news of November 3 was about a buyer that started in 2023, so investors now look for where large holders are buying first. In Pepeto’s presale, the project’s big investors are already in.

Pepeto’s Presale Passes $11.2 Million as Big Investors Move First

Large buyers are doing with this token what Tether did with bitcoin in 2023, buying before the crowd sets the price. Pepeto is a meme coin and AI utility token sold in stages before its first exchange listing, and each stage costs more than the last.

The token sits behind PepetoSwap, an exchange in development where a trader’s coins never leave his own wallet and a private relay shields his orders from bots. A $100,000 trade costs $300 on Uniswap, $250 on PancakeSwap and $0 on PepetoSwap, so the trader keeps the full $300.

A $0 bridge across five chains and an AI scanner with 42 checks are being built beside it. The cofounder built the original Pepe coin, a former Binance expert is on the dev team, and SolidProof handled the audit.

Buyers pay $0.0000001904 per token now with ETH, USDT, BNB or a card. Stakers earn 160% APY. Testing access to the tools goes privately to community members and the project’s big investors.

In size terms, each new dollar into Pepeto lands on an $11.2 million base, while bitcoin needs billions to move a few percent.

Bitcoin first reached $1 in February 2011 and topped $126,000 in October 2025, and most of that rise went to holders who bought while it was small. Investors adding Pepeto during a falling bitcoin week are buying at that same point, ahead of an expected Binance listing.

Conclusion

Tether’s disclosure showed a company that gathered about 150,000 BTC from 2023 while most buyers waited for better news. Moving bitcoin another 10% takes more new money than Tether’s whole stack, while Pepeto’s presale has passed $11.2 million and each stage closes on its timer or its target.

So this week’s bitcoin news rewards a holder that bought in 2023, and Pepeto’s presale is where large buyers are making the same start in 2026.

Bitcoin’s 2011 buyers turned a few thousand dollars into fortunes, and many still say they wish they had bought more. The wallets entering Pepeto at its first stage prices are set to hold the most tokens when that listing opens trading to everyone.
