A vinyl or coated fabric with a documented cleaning protocol gets wiped and returned to service in seconds. An open-weave woven fabric holds whatever lands on it, and recovery becomes a shampoo cycle rather than a wipe.
Seams matter as much as the face material. A seat with a welt running across the middle collects crumbs and liquid in a channel no cloth reaches in one pass, so the same wipe takes three passes and still leaves a line. Flat, sealed seat pans clean faster because there’s nothing to trap.
