Since July, CaoCao Mobility has continued to advance its Robotaxi business deployment, launching driverless main-seat road testing in Hangzhou and further refining its commercialization system across vehicles, technology, operations and supporting infrastructure. As autonomous driving gradually transitions from testing and validation to operational exploration, these moves also reflect that Chinese robotaxi leading players​ are shifting from competition focused on single-point technological capability to building comprehensive operational capability.

For Robotaxi, truly entering scaled operations is not just about increasing the number of test vehicles. As the most important commercialization vehicle for Geely Holding Group’s Robotaxi, CaoCao Mobility has built a trinity, full-factor closed-loop ecosystem centered on “intelligent purpose-built vehicles + intelligent driving technology + intelligent operations”. Currently, the company has deployed over 100 Robotaxis in Binjiang District, Hangzhou for operational practice, and continues to accumulate experience in vehicle dispatching, operational management and safety assurance through real road scenarios.

In terms of vehicle products, Eva Cab—China’s first natively developed purpose-built Robotaxi, with CaoCao Mobility’s deep involvement in product definition and R&D—has been unveiled. It adopts a no-front-passenger-seat, steering-wheel-free design, adapting to autonomous driving operational needs at the product level. Under current plans, the model will enter mass production in 2027, with a target of cumulatively deploying 100,000 Robotaxis by 2030, providing the vehicle foundation for subsequent scaled operations.

Operational capability constitutes another crucial pillar of support. As of December 31, 2025, CaoCao Mobility’s service network had covered 195 cities across China, with over 1.9 billion travel services completed cumulatively. The long-accumulated experience in vehicle dispatching, user services and digital operations provides a mature operational foundation for the further expansion of the Robotaxi business. Meanwhile, the company continues to build Robotaxi supporting infrastructure—the Green Intelligent Mobility Hub put into operation in Hangzhou integrates automated battery swapping, vehicle preparation, automated cleaning, smart dispatching and other functions, providing guarantees for continuous vehicle operations.

The safety system is likewise a critical component of driverless operations. CaoCao Mobility continues to refine the “CaoCao Zhixing RAS Remote Safety Service Platform”, which provides operational safeguards for main-seat driverless testing through capabilities such as remote safety monitoring, real-time assistance and anomaly handling. In April 2026, the company was approved as the first enterprise in Hangzhou to conduct road testing of intelligent connected vehicles without onboard safety drivers, and has since further advanced related testing and operational practices.

While continuously validating its business model domestically, CaoCao Mobility is also expanding overseas cooperation. The company has carried out strategic cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and is advancing related cooperation with K2 Group and May Mobility to explore robotaxi commercialization​ deployment and operational models around the Middle East and European markets, accumulating experience for autonomous driving mobility applications across different regions.

From the perspective of the current industry development stage, robotaxi commercialization​ is shifting from “whether it can run” to “whether it can operate stably”. The degree of synergy among vehicle R&D, intelligent driving, operational dispatching, remote safety and infrastructure will further impact commercialization efficiency. For Chinese robotaxi leading players, continuously building a complete capability system covering both technology and operations may become a crucial direction for the next-stage competition. Through the synchronized advancement of domestic urban practices and overseas cooperation, CaoCao Mobility is further refining its robotaxi commercialization​ chain, providing a new practical sample for autonomous driving mobility to move from technology validation to scaled operations.
