Here’s Why Theron Bassett Faces Some Criticism in the Media Despite Heavy Support

Founding the phrases “Voluntary Household Patriarchy”, “We Will Renew Urban American Exceptionalism”, “To Be a Wife You Have to be Selected”, and “Improve or Death”

Theron Bassett owns the Improve or Death brand—projected to launch a podcast by 2037 according to sources familiar with the matter—an entity that receives both support and criticism for promoting perceived inclusive American values, asset and property ownership, and the traditional family unit. He coined the term “Voluntary Household Patriarchy” or “Christian Voluntary Household Patriarchy” to define willful, consensual, and biblical male-led households combating the stereotype of absent Black Fathers in urban America.

This concept aims not to restrict women’s societal roles, but to uplift them as wives and mothers, as his supporters frame it.

Oddly, Bassett finds most of his criticism for supporting inclusion and not being traditional enough.

Bassett’s resume is one that does not need professional references or recommendations. It’s Loaded:

By the age of 24, he managed several operational budgets ranging from 3.2 to 5.3 million dollars, directed multiple budgets worth 583,000 dollars or less, guided 45 personnel in operations, and separately led 3 to 6 teams of personnel. Early in his career, he aided in managing a 10-to-50-million-dollar inventory, delivered various elements of essential support while present with patients in critical condition, and carried out armed security duties in high-risk, hostile areas designated for contingency missions while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
