Igor Fishelev graduated from Ural State University with a degree in physics and continued his academic training in the postgraduate program at the Institute of Metal Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Professional Journey

In 1991, during the early years of Russia’s market economy, he co-founded Link, one of the first publicly traded companies in the region. As Vice President, he was responsible for investment planning and foreign economic projects, gaining hands-on experience in strategic management and international trade.

By 1994, Fishelev joined Mitsui & Co. Ltd., a leading Japanese trading firm, and in 1995 he became head of its regional office in Yekaterinburg. In 2000, leveraging his extensive experience, Igor Fishelev founded Unimatic, a company specializing in supplying industrial equipment and providing engineering services for the machine-building sector. In 2018, he transferred ownership and management of Unimatic to his son, Oleg Fishelev, completing a planned generational transition.
