Sophia graduated from the Technical University of Munich and began her early career in the risk management division of a well-known financial institution. In 2016, inspired by the breakthrough of AlphaGo, she shifted her research focus toward the intersection of AI and finance. She later joined an investment management firm, where she contributed to the development of a reinforcement learning-based dynamic asset allocation model. Her work was instrumental in achieving the first BaFin (Federal Financial Supervisory Authority of Germany) certification for the A1 Credit Evaluation System.
