Beeple, Crossroad: sold for $6.6 million (4400 ETH)

Way before it became an NFT up for sale, it was just an ordinary internet meme, a meme based on the 2020 presidential election race; the meme was created as an image representing the 2020 US presidential election tension, the creator, Beeple, said he has variations of the image, depending on who won the US presidential race.

Crossroad was minted initially in October 2020 and sold for $66,666, and four months later, it was resold. It was sold for 6.6 million dollars, in February 2021, on Nifty Gateway.

CryptoPunk #8857: sold for $6.63 million (2000 ETH)

Amongst the Crytpopunks projects, the Zombie Cryptopunk is the most popular, they are amongst the first NFT collections, and there are only 88 CryptoPunks in existence. Crypto Pink #8857 sold for a whopping $6.6 million, and the reason is that all through the summer and fall of 2021, buyers purchased a lot of Crytpopunks.

There was a single-day sale of the NFT and thus triggered the gig buy-out. NFT collector Keyboard Monkey bought a zombie Punk, only to sell it 24 hours later for a profit of almost a million dollars.

This Changed Everything: sold for $5.4M

This Changed Everything is an NFT, a picture of the source code used for coding the earliest version of the World Wide Web. The NFT was sold on June 30, 2021, to an anonymous user for about $5.4 million.

The NFT has several extra perks that the owner would love; these perks include but are not limited to a letter written by Sir Timothy Berners-Lee, who’s an English computer scientist that invented the internet, and also a digital poster of the code he wrote. Also, time-stamped documents record the history of the internet from its beginning.

The Merge: sold for $91.8M

The Merge is a digital artwork by an artist, Pak; it sold for a whopping price of $91.87 million on a decentralized NFT marketplace, Nift Gateway; the Merge is a single artwork made up of masses, which users can buy. Three hundred twelve thousand six hundred eighty-six pieces were sold to about 28,983 buyers. By the end of the sale, buyers spent $91.8 million purchasing The Merge NFT.

The First 5000 Days: sold for $69M

The First 500 days is an NFT artwork created by Micheal Winkleman, also known as Beeple; the artwork was sold at an auction with an initial bid of $100. But later on, more extensive beds were placed, resulting in the sale of the artwork for $1 million. And by February 21, the painting eventually sold for $69 million. Beetle is well known in the crypto art community for making six digits sales.

Beeple, Human One: sold for $29.98M

The Human One is a sculpture by famous artist Beeple; the sculpture depicts an artist wandering across shifting environments. The artist has promised to make the human version of the statue, where the astronaut will be replaced with a normal human being.

Crypto billionaire Ryan Zurrer bought the NFT for $29.98 million in December 2021.
