WPDeveloper Ranked #2 In Contributions for WordPress 6.2 release, Inspiring Global Community

WordPress, the world’s most widely used content management system (CMS) that powers 43% of all websites, has recently launched its version 6.2 named Dolphy. Notably, WPDeveloper, a prominent WordPress product company, has secured the second spot in core contributions, with only Automattic ahead of them.

WordPress 6.2 got completed from 607 contributors hailing from over 50 countries and representing 145 different companies. Among these contributors, WPDeveloper has secured the second position in terms of core contributions. The company is proud to have helped Bangladesh ascend to the second position, with India following closely behind for the first time. However, the top position for core contributions goes to the US.

A total of 65 contributors from Bangladesh made contributions to the latest WordPress release, with 35 of those contributors hailing from WPDeveloper. With a longstanding commitment to improving the functionality and ease of use of the WordPress platform, WPDeveloper has been contributing to WordPress for several years

M Asif Rahman, the founder of WPDeveloper has more than 15 years of experience in WordPress ecosystem and has contributed so much for the community for a long time. He said, “We dreamed of something big, which seemed rather impossible, never been done before, not even close. In WordPress 6.2 release, we not only had 65 core contributors from Bangladesh, but we also ranked Country No. 2 in terms of the highest number of core contributors in this version, surpassing India for the first time ever.”

Asif’s dreams come true, thanks to the tireless efforts of the WPDeveloper team, who worked diligently to make it a reality. This year, the WPDeveloper team from Bangladesh is thrilled to have made a significant number of contributions to the WordPress 6.2 release.

The CMO of WPDeveloper, Afshana Diya, who is also a Global Community Deputy for WordPress and organizer for several flagship WordCamp events, provided guidance to the team to get started and empowered the local community to contribute. In celebrating this milestone, Afshana encouraged the team, “Let’s keep that momentum going, no matter where we are & continue to shape the future of web development together.”

With a goal of continuing to improve, WPDeveloper is now aiming to contribute more in future WordPress releases along with the local community and make the web better for the future.
