If you want general information, it’s best to choose a different kind of magazine than if you want something specific, like information on a particular disease or treatment. A balance between the two might be helpful, though—there could be some articles in the general magazine about topics related to your interests. You just need to know which goal(s) will drive what you read!

What’s your budget?

The most popular magazines are Self, Shape, Women’s and health magazine. All three are great options depending on your budget and how committed you want to be. The most affordable option (Self) will give you a good idea of what healthy living entails without breaking the bank. If it’s something that really interests you, then consider investing in one of the other two more expensive choices (Shape and Women’s Health). They have more articles about nutrition and weight-loss tips so they’ll be more helpful if that’s your primary goal. The main difference between them is that Shape focuses more on fitness, while Women’s Health has sections about sex and relationships.

What’s your preferred format?

I have a preference between what type of articles I want to read. For example, if I need something quick and short, I’ll go with Shape or Women’s Health. However, if I’m looking for more in-depth features on fitness or nutrition, then I’ll go with Fitness Magazine. Plus, if you’re looking for fashion and beauty tips, then Elle may be the best choice! The most important thing to remember when deciding which type of magazine will work best is how much time do you have to read it?

The three major types of women’s magazines are: Fashion magazines These magazines focus on clothing trends and offer product recommendations as well as style advice. 

Women’s Interest magazines  These provide lifestyle advice that includes fashion, relationships, food, parenting etcetera. They don’t typically include any information about nutrition or exercise. 

Healthy living/fitness magazines  These focus mostly on physical fitness but they also cover topics like pregnancy and parenting as well.

What’s your schedule like?

Whether it’s during a routine doctor’s appointment, or during the weekly grocery store trip, there are many opportunities to learn more about our bodies and how we can stay healthy. For those who want to read articles on their own schedule, online magazines like Self might be a good fit. If you’re looking for something less expensive and more accessible at your local drugstore, then Prevention might be what you’re looking for. 

In the end it all comes down to how much time and effort you’re willing to put into staying healthy. Whether that means reading an hour every night or just flipping through a quick magazine at your doctor’s office, it all adds up in the end.

Are you looking for online or print magazines?

Health and wellness magazines come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from print magazines to online versions. Some people prefer to read their magazines as hard copies with glossy pages while others prefer the convenience of reading them on an electronic device.
