Repux is a platform where corporate and user data can be exchanged between different parties and therefore monetized. It will combine multiple decentralized technologies to produce a decentralized buying and selling point for data and information.
Enterprises have what small and medium enterprises need and the SME’s have what the big enterprises need, Repux wants to create a marketplace where these two can interact and exchange valuable resources.
One of the features of the Repux platform is the opportunity for business to share excess user and corporate data directly, removing the need for middlemen. All transactions will utilize smart contracts, the accepted currency being the REPUX token.
With the Repux ideology, there will be a level playing ground for both big and small companies. As it stands right now, the competition is not fair because big companies have the resources to acquire enormous datasets while the small ones cannot.
Combining multiple decentralized technologies such as IPFS, Sia and Ethereum/EOS, Repux plans to create a highly decentralized marketplace for data and information.
The pre-sale started on the 17th of November 2017 and is scheduled to end on the 5th of March 2018. The token sale event is billed to start on the 6th of March 2018 (5pm UTC) and is going to last through to the 5th of April 2018. The REPUX token will be the currency on its platform used for data and decentralized applications. There will be a total supply of 500 million REPUX with 1 REPUX costing $0.20 (during the sale period). Unlike the fluctuations in price being experienced by other cryptocurrencies, REPUX price is fixed. After the sale event, the open market will decide on the value of REPUX tokens.
The ICO’s softcap is $1 million while the hardcap is $33.1 million. The accepted payment methods are BTB, ETH and wire transfer. Minimum investment is $100 or its equivalent in ETH or BTC. According to the ICO website, the minimum investment during the pre-sale is $30,000! This I find funny and confusing.
Note however that not all wallets are supported in this ICO. Wallets that manage your keys are not allowed such as Bitstamp and Bittrex. Supported wallets for the token sale include MyEtherWallet, Mist-EtherWallet, Metamask, Parity, imToken, Ledger, Trezor and others.
