What Is an Aura Photography Camera?

Photography Camera

You are probably familiar with DSLRs, polaroids, and digital cameras, but it is less likely that you have heard of an aura camera before. Aura photography has its origins in Kirlian photography which was created by the Russian scientist, Semyon Kirlian in 1939. Kirlian and his wife, Valentina Kirlian, accidentally discovered that if an object is placed onto a photographic plate that is connected to a high-voltage source, an image of that object, surrounded by a mysterious energy, is produced on the photographic plate.

Scientifically speaking, this energy is created by electric coronal, or gas discharges. As the air becomes electrically charged it reacts to the object creating an effect which looks like an aura. All objects, whether alive or inanimate, produce these results. Aura photography records the electromagnetic energy that emanates from a person’s body and translates those readings into a colorful, visual display.

What Is the Aura?

It is thought that your aura reflects your inner state and can also indicate blockages in your energy field.

Known by many names such as chi, prana, or life force, the aura is an electromagnetic field that surrounds the entire body. From a spiritual perspective, this energy field emanates from the body in various colors and is also termed the subtle body. The aura is thought to act as a type of mirror that reflects your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual state of being.

The colors of your aura can change according to your emotional, physical, and mental state with different colors representing different states. For example, it is thought that green can signify peaceful, healing, and compassionate states whereas grey could be a sign of depression, sadness,  and low energy.

What Is an Aura Camera?

Kirlian photography is considered to be the predecessor to what is now termed as aura photography. In the early 1980s, an engineer called Dr. Guy Coggins invented the first aura camera, known as AuraCam 3000, making it available for the masses. This was later replaced by the AuraCam 6000 which can be purchased for around $10,000.

The AuraCam 6000 produces an electronic interpretation of the aura and is used for many purposes such as therapy and in meditation and wellness centers. The hands are placed onto a sensor that is connected to the AuraCam and a computer. Various points of contact on these sensors are designed to maximize the accuracy of the readings. The sensor measures electro-dermal activity along the meridian points of the hand which is then converted to produce a digital image onto a Polaroid film.

Deviations in humidity, temperature, and static electricity can also be measured by the AuraCam 6000, providing greater precision in the biofeedback measurements and the resulting analysis of your aura.

With the information gleaned from these images, a skilled reader will have a better understanding of the state of your energy as well as being able to read any unconscious imbalances in your field, aiding in your overall wellness.
