The question now is why would anyone what their website to rank on Google’s search results? The answer is traffic. It has always been traffic. As a business or company owner, you should know that what keeps the company or business you are running going is the amount of traffic you can attract. Having high traffic makes it easy for you to be able to convert some if not most into leads and customers.

You Don’t Pay for Ad Space 

One major advantage SEO has over traditional ad campaigns is that you don’t have to pay for ad space in order to achieve the same or even better results. 

In a traditional ad campaign, you’ll have to first determine the location where you’d want your ad to appear. Which could be on a radio station, magazine or newspaper, and TV channel. Afterward, you’ll have to pay the company that owns the media for the placement. Your ad won’t run forever so you’ll have to pay for the duration you want it to run or in the case of magazines and newspapers, the number of issues you want your ad to appear on. Once the time expires, your ad will no longer be advertised on the medium you choose and it stops generating results for your company or business. 

Don’t get me wrong. You can still pay for digital adverts and that’s the case for PPC (pay-per-click) ads. PPC is similar to the traditional ad campaigns with a slight difference. In PPC the advertisers only pay when a user clicks on an ad and visits their website. Just like traditional ad campaigns, with PPC when the advertiser pauses their campaign, the ads stop showing up.

Asides from PPC ads that appear at the top of certain keywords, the websites beneath them are totally organic and the owners of those websites aren’t paying a dime but they are still being ranked among the top results for that keyword. That’s the beauty of SEO. SEO done properly can give your business’s or company’s website to rank for certain keywords related to business or content.
