Web3 Game Platform xCBT Launches on Consumer-Centric ‘Abstract’

Web3

Web3 game CBT (Competitive Beta Test) platform xCBT has officially announced that it is launching on Abstract, a consumer-centric Layer 2 network developed by Igloo. xCBT has been on a solid growth trajectory, having secured USD 1 million in seed investment through the support of well-known figures in the gaming industry and its passionate gaming community.

Abstract is an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain designed for consumers, significantly enhancing the on-chain experience by providing a user-friendly UX/UI accessible to anyone. Following its recent mainnet launch, the project has accelerated efforts to create a genuine consumer crypto environment by gathering real-time feedback from a diverse base of community builders. This input is then applied to everyday services such as gaming and social platforms, driving innovation across these domains.

Amid growing concerns in the crypto market regarding the excessive influence of certain renowned VCs, community-driven growth models have been gaining attention. Working closely with the gaming industry and a global community, xCBT has established an independent revenue model. By launching on Abstract, xCBT plans to further strengthen its global pre-launch marketing and community-building capabilities.

Hong-Kyun Noh, CEO of xCBT, stated, “We are designing a reward system that prevents mass token dumping by airdrop hunters or major VCs, ensuring that genuine gamers and community members benefit. Our integration with Abstract—a consumer-friendly blockchain—is expected to become a turning point for mass adoption by offering optimal pre-launch marketing resources for the global gaming community and developers.”

xCBT was founded by original members of G.Round—a global game testing platform—and other Web3 experts, including CEO Hong-Kyun Noh. Drawing from experience that includes sourcing over 530 games from 70 countries and running global tests for over 430,000 users across 190 countries, G.Round has accumulated a wealth of data and know-how in the realm of global game testing.

By leveraging the data and resources amassed through G.Round, CEO Noh plans to support successful game launches by implementing competitive beta tests for unreleased titles via xCBT. As a game testing platform, xCBT introduces an e-sports-style competitive element during the Closed Beta Test (CBT) phase—typically conducted before an official game launch—offering development studios a crucial opportunity for pre-launch community building. Meanwhile, gamers can earn rewards based on their leaderboard rankings during gameplay.

Gamers eagerly purchase tickets to actively participate in the competitive tests, and those who place high on the leaderboard can receive up to 500 times their ticket cost in valuable rewards. The prize pool is primarily funded by developers’ testing fees, xCBT tokens, community-driven airdrop events, and various other sources. Additionally, through engaging social and in-game missions, participants can strategically secure chances to receive exclusive token allocations for those respective blockchain-powered games.
