Valeo Partners With Google Cloud On Generative AI

Valeo, a leading global provider of mobility technologies, has announced that it is expanding its collaboration with Google Cloud to create new generative AI tools and services, according to sources from Google Cloud.

TakeAway Points:

  • Valeo and Google Cloud to develop new generative AI tools and solutions that run on the cloud.
  • With specific use cases, innovations should increase Valeo’s productivity and process efficiency.
  • Valeo joins Google Cloud as a major partner for Gen AI, providing early access and input on technical advancements.

Beyond Increasing Productivity

The two businesses will collaborate to develop cloud-based innovations and best practices with the goal of more effectively and nuancedly addressing the unique needs of the client.
Using Google Cloud’s Gen AI solutions will help Valeo teams expedite and streamline every aspect of the company’s digital innovation process, potentially leading to end-to-end operational efficiency advantages as well as more responsive product development.

To write, fix, optimise, and test code more quickly and efficiently, for instance, Valeo intends to incorporate Google Cloud’s AI technologies into the toolkit used by its software development teams.

In order to boost productivity and insight throughout the whole software engineering lifecycle—from requirements analysis to architecture design to test case generation—Valeo will also extend its usage of Google Cloud’s powerful AI capabilities.

The two firms will also work together in quality assurance and customer service, as well as in the deployment of next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to facilitate increased productivity in vehicle design, manufacture, and equipment integration. As part of the deal, Valeo will also share insightful input on how to improve the solutions with its automotive industry clients by using next-generation AI capabilities created by Google Cloud.

Furthermore, Valeo will have early access to Google Cloud’s newest generative AI technologies as a result of the expanded arrangement, which will enable it to incorporate generative AI into its software engineering processes more quickly and smoothly.

Extending Previous Collaboration

In 2023, Valeo, which already partners with Google Cloud for its infrastructure, data, and collaboration services, organised a hackathon among its staff members focused on future artificial intelligence use cases, with the assistance of Google Cloud. Many novel applications of Google Cloud’s generation AI technology in engineering, project management, knowledge management, and industrial maintenance were found during the hackathon.

“Generative AI has the potential to refine and upgrade every aspect of the automotive digital value chain, but only if it can absorb the standards, regulations, technical language, and other contextual factors that each company faces,” said Geoffrey Bouquot, EVP Strategy and CTO, Valeo. “At Valeo, we are looking forward to bringing together our deep understanding of the challenges of the automotive industry and Google Cloud’s generative AI tools and expertise. Together, we will play an essential role in how we make generative AI as relevant, secure, and productive as possible to support Valeo’s growth.”

“Generative AI solutions tailored to specific companies’ contexts offer immense potential to transform them at speed. Valeo is an innovation leader in the automotive industry and has clearly determined new models and sources of productivity with generative AI. We look forward to seeing the added value and relevance for the company that our joint technological and industrial forces will bring.” Isabelle Fraine, Managing Director, Google Cloud in France, said.
