TheGreenGirls, a women-focused media source, will be launching the NFT PAWS G². This NFT Project was created to celebrate women and the planet, and what better day to launch than Earth Day. TheGreenGirls have teamed up with Project Save Our Surf (PSOS) for this NFT Project, dubbed PAWS G².
TheGreenGirls.com was launched by CEO Apple Levy in 2008 by women for women and focuses on all things eco-friendly. The women behind TheGreenGirls are all experts in particular fields: law, business, fashion, health, entertainment, and everything in between. They have created a site for women to feel comfortable and excited to help save the planet and to push the agenda for women-led businesses.
Project Save Our Surf (PSOS), a freshwater filter program, runs its organization for kids, with kids, and with respect to kids taking over the planet. PSOS, founded by actress Tanna Frederick, takes troubled teens and sends them on leadership trips in which they get to surf for a week at a global surf break located near a village in dire need of freshwater. There, they install freshwater filters and interact with the kids in the village who look up to them as leaders and heroes.
Both Project Save Our Surf and TheGreenGirls are aware that our planet is at critical risk, and our forests and oceans desperately need help. They hope this NFT will empower the community and the world to help save the planet. Every day, we lose up to 88,000 acres of tropical rainforest and significantly degrade. That is 88,000 acres of trees that provide us with clean air, help filter the water we drink and are home to over 80 of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. The loss of forests each day is severely harming the planet, but TheGreenGirls and PSOS have a plan. With Each PAWS G² NFT Mint, five trees will be planted to support reforestation in the United States via OneTreePlanted.org.
Additionally, purchases of the NFT will help keep PSOS and its programs running that serve to help conserve marine life and ocean conservation, orchestrate monthly beach clean-ups, and organize clean water filtration installations and maintenance trips in over 15 countries. All sales will go towards helping children’s educational camps in local California mountain ranges and wetlands and supporting surf camps that benefit youth with cystic fibrosis and more.
The PSAWS G², inspired by passionate women helping the planet, will feature several different Earth-colored traits, including eye color. Each outfit was individually hand-drawn and some are even hand-painted by CEO Apple Levy herself. Nature-inspired skins of the women include forest, water, earth, and the rare golden fire. Some images also feature rare Project Save Our Surf surf suits.
Each PSAWS G² NFT is $49 (discounted bundles are available as well), each NFT purchased will help support TheGreenGirls women’s organization. Owners will also be supporting carbon-friendly projects, as the NFT will be minting on Polygon as opposed to Ethereum. Ethereum is a programmable blockchain that finds applications in numerous areas, including DeFi, smart contracts, and NFTs. Some NFTs can use as much gas as a car driving 500 miles in their lifetime. To drastically reduce its NFT’s carbon footprint, PSOS’ collection will live on the eco-friendly Polygon Blockchain.
