National AI Literacy Day Summit
On Friday, April 19, three nationwide live events are being held in the US to commemorate nationwide AI Literacy Day. Through an interactive investigation and discussion of artificial intelligence, the summit intends to bring together K–12 students, educators, and communities in collaboration with aiEDU, AI for Education, EdSafe AI Alliance (InnovateEDU), and Common Sense Media.
This historic event, which embraces the spirit of The Hour of Code, will provide attendees with a better grasp of the possibilities and effects of artificial intelligence. Over 1,100 students from Bay Area schools will visit The Tech Interactive on field excursions to engage in interactive activities aimed at igniting their curiosity and demystifying artificial intelligence. In the meantime, lively conversations concerning enhancing AI literacy, equity, and accessibility in classrooms will take place among educators, business executives, government representatives, and community members.
AI Summit Agenda
The agenda of the summit includes important subjects, including educating children for a world powered by AI and the vital role community collaborations play in promoting AI literacy. Matt Mahan, the mayor of San Jose; Jonathan Porat, the chief technology officer for the state of California; Ellen Pack, the president of Common Sense Media; Sonia Malik, the director of IBM’s global skills development programme; Alexandru Costin, VP of Generative AI and Firefly, Adobe; and Michael de la Cruz, senior director of education at Microsoft are among the featured speakers.
