In this year’s edition, India is sending a team consisting of four swimmers to take part in Birmingham. It is notable that the team is made up of only male athletes. The performance of India at the competition has not been very good having only taken home one bronze medal in the swimming competition. Prashant Karmakar is a para-swimmer and is the only swimmer from India to take home a bronze medal at the freestyle 50m portion of this event.
