What did Roku open?
Roku, the TV streaming pioneer, said on Tuesday that it is opening its new office in Bengaluru, the heart of India’s tech scene. Located in Embassy Golf Links Business Park, Challaghatta, the site will serve as a key innovation hub for the company, driving advancement in cutting-edge technology, software engineering, machine learning, and product development for the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S. and Mexico.

The Roku OS is purposefully built for TV and powers Roku TV models and streaming players. Worldwide, Roku devices are used by over 80 million streaming households.

On Aug. 1, 2024, Roku announced its adoption of Unified ID 2.0 (UID2), a leading identity solution, across its premium streaming inventory. Roku advertisers can now implement more precise targeting and a secure means to facilitate data collaboration at Roku Media’s unmatched scale, powered by automation through Roku Exchange.
