The collaboration has not only slashed Motorvision’s localization costs but has also deepened its connection with audiences in Latin American (LATAM) countries, opening doors for expansion into new markets.

Motorvision Group, a frontrunner in automotive TV channels globally, covers everything from news and documentaries to lifestyle content and live motorsports programs. With a global presence and channels localized in languages like English, French, German, LAS, Greek, Portuguese, and Thai, Motorvision caters to a diverse audience. Their content includes episodes ranging from 30-60 minutes and shorter clips, especially for their popular Motorvision YouTube channel.

Traditionally relying on human translators and voice actors for subtitling and dubbing, Motorvision recognized the need to optimize its localization process to stay competitive and meet the growing demands of its global audience. The adoption of AI dubbing technology from Dubformer enabled Motorvision to expedite localization efforts and achieve significant cost savings.

Motorvision initially focused on subtitling content in Greek and Brazilian Portuguese and successfully produced four episodes with voiceovers in Latin American Spanish (LAS). The LAS version received widespread acceptance, and the AI-generated voiceover proved more cost-effective than conventional methods, paving the way for potential expansion into a wider range of languages.

In the early stages of AI dubbing testing, Motorvision faced challenges, including ensuring the correct pronunciation of different brands and eliminating a somewhat “robotic” sound. Dubformer effectively addressed these challenges by incorporating feedback from “proof-listeners” and actively working on integrating glossaries to guarantee perfect pronunciation.

To create a more natural-sounding audiotrack, the Dubformer team explored different voices and applied enhanced AI mixing techniques, achieving the desired outcome.
