Blockchain-based digital asset company Punkvism has entered into a strategic partnership with Foodie Korea, a leading food franchise and manufacturing company, to jointly develop a Web3-powered real-world asset (RWA) ecosystem. Announced on the 16th, the collaboration will focus on building a new type of digital-physical convergence platform, pioneering one of the first RWA models in the food and beverage (F&B) industry both in South Korea and internationally.
Through this partnership, Foodie Korea will participate as a key partner in designing real-world rewards and user experiences for Punkvism’s RWA-based projects. The collaboration is expected to unfold across various stages, starting with the fusion of utility tokens and F&B brand services.
The companies also plan to provide offline reward programs for NFT holders, construct immersive brand experience zones within the metaverse, and co-develop a model that merges Punky Kongz’s intellectual property with Foodie Korea’s operational expertise to launch RWA-integrated F&B stores. Furthermore, they aim to explore RWA-based strategies to support the international expansion of Foodie Korea’s brands.
Foodie Korea, which operates over 50 directly managed stores nationwide, has recently been broadening its business across a diverse range of online and offline channels, including home meal replacement (HMR) products, frozen foods, and shop-in-shop concepts.
Meanwhile, Punkvism has been a forerunner in the blockchain-based tokenization of physical assets and the expansion of the Web3 ecosystem. With this latest collaboration, Punkvism seeks to take a significant step toward establishing a pioneering model that connects digital assets with real-world consumer industries, particularly in the restaurant and food services sector.
Jae-min Kim, CLO at Punkvism, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “When it comes to bridging the real economy with Web3 technology, the F&B industry offers one of the most effective and reward-driven models. Our collaboration with Foodie Korea, especially the RWA integration of F&B stores using Punky Kongz IP and international expansion projects, will accelerate the mainstream adoption of RWA.”
A representative from Foodie Korea also shared their enthusiasm, noting, “This partnership goes beyond simply adopting new technologies. It’s about delivering an RWA structure that creates tangible customer experiences. Together with Punkvism, we aim to introduce a new paradigm in the food service industry and take the lead in raising global awareness for Foodie Korea’s brands.”
Foodie Korea and Punkvism will kick off their first collaborative pilot project in H2 2025, with more exciting updates to follow as the partnership evolves..
