According to the Census Bureau’s 2023 American Community Survey, Oklahoma’s poverty rate is 15.9 percent, with women more likely to live in poverty than men. [LL1] [AS2] The poverty rate for women is 17.4 percent, compared to 14.4 percent for men.
In light of these challenges and to mark Women’s History Month, Paycom, a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, donated $35,000 to Dress for Success Oklahoma City through its employee giving program and company match this March.
Dress for Success Oklahoma City, now in its 10th year, is a nonprofit that helps women break the cycle of poverty by offering support, professional attire and career development tools. The organization has helped thousands of women in the metro area find jobs and advance their careers.

Believing that gender equality is key to creating a fair and sustainable world, the nonprofit emphasizes the essential role women play in the global economy.

The employee giving program supports a variety of local and national causes, from youth initiatives to mental health services and programs for individuals with disabilities. Each year, Paycom partners with a variety of nonprofits, giving employees the chance to support causes that align with their personal values.
This donation is just one example of the company and its employees, nearly half of whom [LL3] [AS4] identify as female, showing their commitment to empowering women in the workforce by providing them with the resources they need to succeed.
In 2024, Paycom received an Empowering Women award from The Journal Record, which honors companies and organizations making real, measurable strides in supporting and uplifting women in Oklahoma. Last Women’s History Month, they gave $50,000 to Oklahoma Women in Technology (OKWIT), a volunteer-run nonprofit organization of professionals in the tech industry that aims to bridge the gender gap in STEM fields.
Nearly half of Paycom’s staff is female, and the business actively strives to establish an inclusive workplace where women at all levels are valued. From leadership development projects to mentoring programs, the organization guarantees women have an obvious pathway for growth.
