Victor Parra grew up in the small city of Central Falls, Rhode Island. The smallest city in the smallest state in the United States. It’s a far journey from his current residence in the San Francisco Bay Area. His journey to where he is today is one of hard work and determination.
Victor grew up in a one bedroom home with a single mom and his 2 sisters. His father was not in the picture and he didn’t have a lot of family members around him. Victor always praises his mother for doing the best that she could, while he recognises the hardships he went through as a child. During his youth, Victor experienced living in a group home as well as many other tough obstacles in his path. Thinking back on that time Victor recalls ‘’it was tough because I was living with a bunch of kids I didn’t know, who all had their own challenges, it was difficult but I always knew soccer was my way out”
Parra said he wanted to get himself out of his life of rough beginnings but also wanted to do something which he loved. And boy did he love soccer! From early on, he played with the US youth national teams and this even allowed him to travel to Italy at the age of 13 to compete. Victor said ‘’I wanted to make my community proud, my family proud and my friends proud.’’ We can imagine they are beaming with pride now as Victor went on to accomplish many things both on and off the field.
Victor went on to become a NCAA Division 1 college soccer player. He attended and played at San Jose State University in San Jose, California on a full athletic Scholarship. He was a double major and received his bachelors in Hospitality Tourism and Events Management, as well as international Business.
He was the “Valedictorian” of his graduating class and keynote speaker of the graduation in 2017 where he received his bachelors (BS) in Hospitality tourism and events management. Victor was the first ever NCAA Division 1 student athlete to accomplish being “Valedictorian” and first ever in the university departments 24 years. He made history for both NCAA and his university as well as being the first ever Latino American to be chosen as the Valedictorian in the school’s history.
Upon college graduation Victor signed a professional contract in Europe for Argozelo in Portugal’s second division Liga Pro in 2017. He was the only American/Colombian player on the roster. He played there for 2 seasons. In 2019 he signed to play professionally in the MASL for California Express.
In 2020 Victor signed a professional contract with global FC in the Philippines Premier League, a first division side in Asia. Covid complicated things during this period of time and Victor then signed for professional NISA side Bay Cities FC out of the San Francisco Bay Area in 2021. This along with short stints in Australia, Republic of Georgia, and Azerbaijan has put Victor all over the world in over 4 continents living out his childhood dream.
Most recently, Victor was selected to play for the Colombia national indoor team in the indoor World Cup that will be held in November 2023 in Dubai. Victor was ecstatic and he took to Instagram to tell his followers ‘’Never stop believing in yourself. Ever. Keep pushing. Who cares what people say or think. You can do what you want. One love’’.
We asked Victor what his ultimate goal is for the future and he told us ‘’my ultimate goal is to be as successful as I could be with all my business endeavors and always take care of my family.
I know that when I was younger my goal was to play professional soccer which I was able to accomplish and I am very proud of myself for that.
Playing soccer in college, and professionally for a few years all over the world has opened a lot of doors for me. I got my whole college education paid for, I met a lot of great people and traveled all over the world. I also met some great connections that have helped me get to where I am today in my business endeavors.
I always knew soccer wouldn’t last forever but it has opened many business opportunities that I am excited to be a part of. Just as everything in my life has been, I love a good challenge and I am always ready for the next one.
Business Endeavors
Victor is now flipping million dollar homes among some of Silicon Valley’s real estate elite. While playing soccer in the San Francisco Bay Area, he met Edgar, his very good friend and current business partner. Edgar became a mentor to Victor over the last few years.
The last few years Victor has teamed up with his business partner Edgar and Edgars wife Jacklyn. Their team is a close knit operation being run exclusively by the trio.
They focus on finding and purchasing investment properties in the California Bay Area. Particularly looking for “fixer upper” properties and properties in distress that need work. They then restore the properties to their former glory and re-sell them at a profit.
The team is located in Santa Clara County, California and most of their business operations are conducted in the Silicon Valley and Bay Area. However, they have recently expanded their operation to service areas in Austin, Texas as well.
A significant amount of Parra’s time is spent on project managing both residential investment projects and development construction projects for their firm. He is always scouting for potential deals. Whether it’s for their own investments or for a client. Victor holds a California real estate license which allows him to represent buyers or sellers in California, and work on his own house flips/investment projects. Parra enjoys being a
realtor/ investor and admits his role is made much easier since he has a great team behind him. He also enjoys delivering results for his clients and investor partners.
With a proven track record of success thus far, Parra recently announced they are now offering a full range of services to their clients which include:
● Access to their in house design / building team for anything from a kitchen remodel up to a full home remodel or a new build / development from the ground up.
● Helping clients with sourcing their first dream home or their next investment property.
● Helping clients to sell their home and maximize their resale value by integrating some of their proven fix and flip strategies.
● Access to invest and partner on deals to make a return on your money
If this is not impressive enough, Victor also runs his own soccer academy throughout the week with over 40 kids participating. Both boys and girls ages 6-18 at all skillset levels are welcome.
In Victor’s free time you can catch him doing public motivational speeches to schools and events all over the country. Some of his main topics are “How to overcome adversity”. He is also currently working on his autobiography which he looks forward to releasing where he will open up about his life in hopes to motivate and inspire all youth that may have grown up with lots of obstacles and tough upbringings.
Victor’s story has been full of adventure so far and we look forward to seeing what’s next for the star
