Mauro Settimo Carini wants to change the business world. Mauro Carini is the CEO of seven different companies and is constantly looking for new ways to help deserving businesses develop. Mauro’s portfolio is diverse, ranging from assisting his parent company, Incorpora, to running SonicFast Networks as CEO and being a board member of The Fomo Crew Marketing Services.
In a recent interview, Mauro Settimo Carini opens up about his company, SonicFast, and his goals.
Q. What prompted you and your co-founder to establish SonicFast?
Mauro Carini: In 2016, I worked for a hosting company that offered web hosting to e-commerce and other mid sized businesses. Many clients experienced dispersed attacks, most likely from competitors, and were forced to rely on a third-party provider to secure their website.
SonicFast was founded by my co-founder Mario De Paolis and me at the end of 2016, and we are currently one of the top 90 IT solution providers in the UK. We founded SonicFast with the goal of delivering hosting services that can survive the majority of web attacks in a single solution with minimal customer effort.
Q. Could you please tell me more about SonicFast’s hosting services?
Mauro Carini: Our goal is to market a strong and easy-to-use solution that IT experts can migrate to in a matter of hours. Normally, at least five separate cybersecurity figures are required to safeguard a website like ours.
Our strength is that we have developed an automated system that makes our security expertise and experience available to anyone who wants it nearly instantaneously and on a continuous basis.
Q. Does your organization offer any additional services?
Mauro Carini: As a hosting company with a special focus on cybersecurity, we have a wide range of products for both private and business customers.
Our products, of course, may be found on our website, where we offer UPS, web hosting, and dedicated servers with up to 20 gigabit connections per server. But we also have a VPN with over 40 POPs worldwide. And, of course, all of the layer 7 protection, layer 3, and layer 4 protection items. Corero Smart Wall technology is used to protect our customers from layer 3 and 4 threats.
Q. What do you believe is the most serious cyberthreat today?
Mauro Carini: I believe that DDoS attacks are the most common cyberthreat; the volume of such attacks increases by roughly 15-20% each year. As everyone moves online in this epidemic, a lot of challenges for the firm can arise. What was previously spread has now become even more dispersed, and there are always additional targets that may be assaulted. I often argue that uptime is given not just by the quality of the hardware but also by DDoS protection, because uptime cannot be guaranteed without valid DDoS defense.
