According to the report, “LG Air Solution Village” Metaverse provides HVAC experts with an immersive environment for a number of use cases, such as functional installation simulation and virtual showrooms.

LG, through its Air Solution Europe division, is building a platform for HVAC professionals. Although the Menlo Park-based company recently partnered with Meta, it is not collaborating with LG on its Metaverse platform; rather, Spatial is offering its hardware-independent solution for the LG Air Solution Village service.

During virtual showcase events, LG intends to hold industry discussions, Q&A sessions, and product debuts. Additionally, LG is making an effort to let B2B clients evaluate innovative LG Air Solution products, like MULTI VVRF systems and THERMA V air-to-water heat pumps, through its Metaverse platform. According to the company, the product digital twins record precise data, giving its B2B clients “complete insight.”

“We’re thrilled to introduce LG Air Solution Village, a virtual experience tailored for HVAC installers. This Metaverse opens up new possibilities for exploration, learning, and collaboration within the HVAC industry.” Peter Verkempynck, Senior Vice-President at LG Air Solution Europe, said.

LG and Meta’s Initial Partnership

In January, LG’s CEO Cho Joo-wan announced that the TV division of the business is working on an XR gadget, which it plans to release the following year. More recently, at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, CEO Mark Zuckerberg of Meta held a two-hour discussion with Park Hyoung-sei, President of the Home Entertainment Company, and LG CEO William Cho to discuss future partnerships on XR devices.

Following the discussion, LG and Meta agreed to strategically work together to use their combined technology portfolios to improve the customer experience and spur innovation in XR products.

William Cho from LG tested out Meta’s Quest 3 headset, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, and large-language variants during the meeting. Cho stated, “We see opportunities for next-gen personal devices in the XR business space,” pointing out the possibility of utilising Meta’s technology for AI-ready XR gadgets.

LG thinks that by fusing Meta’s XR portfolio with its TV division offerings, it can build a technology ecosystem. LG also intends to demonstrate the advantages of its smart device operating system, which will combine with Meta’s AI algorithms to produce a competitive XR product.
