Leon Vartanian Amazon FBA Expert Opinion: Why White Label Is Better Than Private Label

For someone who wants to get started in the e-commerce business, it is necessary to understand the type of business model you are getting into! Understanding white label vs private label could be a herculean task for a rookie. You could be selling anything, and your business will be impacted with the type of business model you run!

A private label product and white label product is usually manufactured by a third party and sold under your amazon brand name. However, in private label, you provide specifications about how the product is to be manufactured while in white label, the manufacturer makes it (as per their specifications) and then sells it to multiple sellers like you.

Leon Vartanian, a 7-Figure Amazon FBA Expert, shares, “White Label has a higher success rate, requires less starting capital, does not require advertising, as well not needing to optimize listings with setting titles, descriptions, photos, and collecting reviews. So on and so forth.”

This magnetic entrepreneur explains some quick pointers on why white label is better than private label in Amazon.

  • Amazon FBA { Fulfilled by Amazon } in itself is a method of selling on Amazon where your items are sold and shipped by Amazon Employees in an Amazon Fulfillment Warehouse. So, the customers’ journey from viewing products, purchasing to receiving is taken care of. Here, white label products can be listed under your brand name where they can be sold and shipped by Amazon. This makes your entire journey easier to handle.
  • The manufacturing efficiency is higher in white label products as the private label products are entirely specified by you and the manufacturer has to build a manufacturing process to create your products.
  • White label products are best suited when you want your market size to grow faster, and don’t have major R&D budgets.
  • The seller doesn’t have to be an expert, design processes or provide any type of training.
  • Compared to other models like superior models to reselling or hybrid reselling, this seems like a better deal for entrepreneurs.
  • This business model seems to better expand your product offering and features. You can provide different related products in-house which would provide a good competitive advantage and an increased customer base as customers love to see related products under the same brand name. Hence, increasing brand credibility.

Some important aspects to consider when you develop the white-label product model:

  1. Is it sustainable?
  2. Does it have upfront costs or liabilities?
  3. Is it a cheap product with a bad user experience?
  4. Are there chances of having negative reviews? If yes, can you handle the feedback and improve with time to reduce them?
  5. Does the manufacturer have official documentation or copy rights/license? If yes, ensure to get them checked.

Executing all of this and making it successful can be a road of challenges. Leon helps entrepreneurs with his coaching program. He has multiple people already earning $10,000 per month from their white-label product model.
